DFW ALARM

Work was well performed. Had trouble with our phone line not working when the alarm was connected. DFW sent higher level techs to the house till it was resolved. Gave us a one month credit for the trouble.

I wrote an email and the boss, Al responded over the weekend (how many businesses reach out to customers after hours these days?), and said someone would call and schedule on Monday. Sure enough, without any further follow-up by me, the company called and set-up an appointment that day. David came out within a few hours and resolved the problems correctly and promptly. The only weird thing was that the company took my credit card number over the phone and advised of the hourly rate for tech work. I guess in the alarm business you might deal with flaky customers sometimes, but I don't know any other business that does this. Still, the work was done quickly and correctly. I can recommend them and will call again if I need support. Thanks Al.

The insurance company recommended them. The installation was free. They are very good. I only worked with them. I had some other people gave me some quote, but most of them did not come out and give me a quote. They came out, went through the stuff, and gave me a quote whereas the others just want to give something over the phone. The quality seems fine. They were very responsive as far as coming out and taking care of it. They were here when they said they were going to be here and got the job done quickly. If I move houses, I would use them either to move the system or put in a new one.

I love these guys.  I started using them in 2001.  I am very happy with them.  The price is reasonable.  They are great.

Installer arrived on time, dressed very neatly, introduced himself and went to work, answered all my questions and concerns explained everything in detail about the alarm, very professional. $53.20 install fee and 29.99 per month or you can save and pay for the whole year up front.   Sincerely: Dale R

I forgot to mention that I had searched the web forever for the Best! Angie's List actually sold me on this company! Ask my brother in law what new system they had?? DFW Alarm! After so many bogus websites, honestly Angie's List has made my life of searching and searching over. The honesty of the users is perfect. Thanks to all for the help.

I did not have Angie's list when I started with the original company 5 years ago.  This company was bought out by a multi-state 3-letter big company, the monthly payment was high but what did it was the lies when I wanted to switch to wireless, they promised a free upgrade and did not hold to  their word.  I did ample research and found DFW alarm, the process was simple and clear.  No contracts.  The installation took 2 days because some zones were missed initially but they came back next day to fix it with no hassle.  I love the android app, I went overseas and was able to monitor if the system was armed or not and who had access to it (cleaning lady).  Overall, we are very satisfied with the company.

I called DFW Alarm on a Wednesday morning, the office was very helpful and got the necessary information from me.  I had asked for them to come out Friday, but they had a full schedule and we scheduled an appointment the following Monday.  I got a call on Thursday saying that they were going to be able to work me in Friday if I was interested, which worked out great for my schedule.  The technician called an hour before the appointment to confirm he would be there on time, and he showed up exactly on time.  He worked on the system for about an hour and a half and got everything running properly.  As far as I am concerned, it was a perfect experience, couldn't have gone any better and the monthly price is the best in town.

DFW Alarm called me 45 minutes before the technician was due to arrive to confirm they would be on time. The technician did arrive on time as promised. He confimed the services to be performed and reviewed the prices for the alarm reactivation, battery replacement, and additional keypad installation. The work performed took about 45 minutes without any issues. When completed he review the alarm set procedures. He also reviewed the price for the system activation and completed the required paperwork. All went very well & smoothly.

When I called the company I told hem I specifically wanted an alarm system that spoke a voice indicating where the breach in security was occuring. The price quote on the phone was for three alarm pads. The first one for $100 and and $70 for each additional. After the installation, I was charged $100 for each pad instead of $70 for the additional two. The installation person showed up and started the task. He did not replace the alarm pads exactly where the old ones where, so now the paint does not match on each wall. Then he did not program to alarm to indicate the garage door correctly. When the garage door is opened, the alarm says the front door is open. He said he was completed, but when I checked some of the window alarms, they did not work. He said the windows were not wired, so I raised each window and showed him the wires. He completed two of the windows and said that was all he could do. Basically he did not care about the quality of the job and just wanted to finish as quick as he could and go on.

Wanted someone to fix the system, not sell me a monitoring package or upgrade. The person that called me to schedule the service call gave me a few things to try that might fix the problem without the need of a repairman. The tips did not fix the problem but I was very impressed that they offered help over the phone that could have saved a service call. He was also very clear about what the costs would be for the repair. The service tech arrived early and did the repair very quickly. I was would not hesitate to use this company again.

We chose this company because of their competitive cheaper price. I like this company because of their responsiveness, their quick service and bending price.

The tech was very professional. Even though they would have lost a new system sale, he made a point of telling me that they could work with my existing system, and made sure I wanted a new one before changing anything. As part of the installation he took the time to check every sensor in the house, and explained everything I needed to know about the new system in detail. He answered all my questions about expandability of the system, but didn't try to force me to buy a bunch of unnecessary add-ons. Rates on both monitoring and installation work are very reasonable. It's worth making special note of the fact that no long-term contract was required; all equipment is unlocked and entirely mine (with the exception of the radio for wireless monitoring). I really like their up-front pricing. The monitoring contract is month-to-month and I can end it at any time without penalty, but I don't plan to. Their rates are competitive and I've had a great experience so far.

Very well, don't bother overpaying for alarm service. With the homeowner insurance discount, it pretty much pays for itself.

NOTHING SPECIAL. NOTHING TERRIBLE. SO OVERALL IT WAS JUST THAT.
