He was prompt and did a great job.  I would use them again if needed.

Keep in mind for these "Deals," the material cost of plank installation is extra + any labor / materials for stain.  Material markup is ~300 - 500% for new planks.

He came out, he was punctual. This guy was very reasonable.

Everything was as described.  Great guy and really good job.  On time, fast, and neat.  Asked for warranty on new motor several times but he did not provide it.  I would use him again but would clarify getting all the paperwork for new equipment up front.

They set appointments and they don't show up. I have had three appointments with them and the last one they missed was on Saturday and when I called it went straight to voice mail and they haven't replied to my messages either.

It didn't start out well.  First, the unit he told me about when  he came to look at the  job turned out to be not available, so he said he would install an alternate unit.  He promised to come out at a certain time on a certain day.  When he didn't show up, I called to ask  him where he was.  He told me that my husband had called him and asked him not to come, because it was raining!  I don't know what to make of that, because my husband didn't know the name,  much less the phone number, of the company I had arranged to do the work.  Also, my husband told me that he had not contacted him in any way.  Jose then agreed to come out on Sataurday to do the work.  He did come, and he arrived on time.  He did the work very well, and explained the operation to us.  He left us two  keypads for opening with a code.  However, one of them didn't work.  He told me that he would send out one of his guys on Monday to bring a different keypad to replace the one that wasn't working.
On Monday, no one showed up.  I have sent several emails, and left voice mails for him, but I have had no response and no returned call.
I would have said the work was good, although expensive, and I would have recommended him.  But there were too many communication errors, not to mention that I still don't have a working keypad, nor any response from him about the problem.  
Yes, it was near the holidays, so he might have taken some time off, but not to even respond to  me?  For that reason I can't recommend him.

Received an email that they would reach out to me but had no further updates and they missed appointments. Wasn't expecting to have to track them down to get scheduled. I completed the work myself.

They did a good job however they charged me $200 to put a lock on the gate.  This came as a surprise to me and was just for hardware. The advertised deal was supposed to cover everything but I did pay extra for the hardware.

Very professional; came in and got the job done. Cleaned up and made sure that the door was functioning properly before he left. Asked if I had any questions, and left contact information if any issues were to come up...

I called about 10 providers.  None of them could service me same day even though just about all of them advertised same day repair service.  One guy said he could come out same day but wanted to charge $540 without even knowing the issue.  I got on the phone with Joe around 10am.  He said he would be out between 12pm and 1pm.  He got to my house at or a little before 12pm.  He had me hit the button a couple times on the gate and immediately diagnosed the problem.  He said my wheels were bad and the gate was going back too far.  He changed the wheels, serviced the unit, adjusted the tracking, and adjusted the positioning of the safety switch.  I was very happy with his promptness, his service, and he's an overall nice guy.  He also gave me a one year warranty if anything happens in the future.

Joe came on time, was very courteous, explained what was needed, got the work done within 90 minutes. Cleaned up after the install, pricing was same as we discussed before no surprises. Joe is proud of what he does and it shows in his work. Thanks Joe.

They were on time and very professional.  The installation was completed in a short time and all the features were explained to us as well as setting up the code.  I would definitely use them again,

Took a couple calls to reach them, but did the job quickly and as quoted once appointment was made.

A-1 promptly sent someone out, within 90 minutes of my calling, to
address the issue.  It was a simple fix, but definitely not something I
could have done by myself.  The service was $149, which seemed a little
high for about 15 minutes of work, but the Angie's List coupon offered
definitely made a huge difference.  The technician was courteous and
efficient, which I appreciated.  And I loved the quick service, too.

Joe and his people did a great job. Looks like new. Took several days but the job turned out beautifully and for a fair price based on all the work that needed doing. They re-cemented the metal poles and removed and replaced all damaged boards and stained the entire fence. It is a very large yard so it was a lot of fence.

We were pleased that a minor adjustment took care of the reported problem, but we thought the serviceman was very pushy, trying to sell us on replacing all the wheels for $250 additional.  All our wheels needed was a little WD-40, and they were fine.
