This company does not seem to have a website, nor can I verify their License# TACL. I had an extremely disappointing experience with Stockdale Service Company during my recent encounter with their AC repair technicians through American Home Shield. Not only did they fail to provide a satisfactory air conditioning service, but their behavior made me feel utterly unsafe in my own home. From the moment they arrived, I could already sense something was off. Instead of conducting themselves professionally, they engaged in chain smoking right on my property, which was not only disrespectful but also hazardous to my health. As a non-smoker, I found this behavior to be completely unacceptable and a clear violation of my rights as a paying customer. Moreover, the technicians' lack of professionalism extended beyond their smoking habits. They did not even bother to identify themselves properly, which left me feeling uneasy about having strangers in my home. When I tried to engage in conversation and ask questions about the service they were performing, they spoke down to me and treated me with condescension. Their dismissive attitude towards my concerns and questions only added insult to injury. As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and have my concerns addressed, not brushed off like an inconvenience. Overall, my experience with them was nothing short of a nightmare. Their technicians not only failed to handle the AC repair properly, but they also created an uncomfortable and unsafe environment in my own home. I strongly advise others to avoid their services if they value their safety, respect, and the quality of work provided. This company has left me deeply dissatisfied and disappointed, and I will certainly be taking my business elsewhere in the future.

Had Jake from Stockdale come out on an American Home Shield warranty call. Came early within the time window, was personable, knowledgeable, and worked quickly. He replaced the condenser fan motor and checked the freon. All good within 30 minutes. Stockdale has a good man in Jake.

My A/C stopped working, called them out under AHS warranty, original quote for repair was $1925 of which only $595 were for expenses covered by the home warranty. This is more than twice what this repair should cost. They told me that AHS does not pay them enough to make a profit so they have to come up with other charges to bill the policy holder. My A/C system was installed in July of 2019 to code and is a clean install. They claimed a lot of the work was required by code to AHS, when I challenged them they could not site any code, and reverted to "for liability reasons" and "our prices are our prices" I would expect a repair for a 3.5 ton Trane evaporator coil with parts under warranty using a vendor AHS has negotiated low prices with would be on the lower end of the repair expected range which is $600. But when they are requiring replacing of other functional components and not willing to fully answer questions or be reasonable, I am going with a significantly lower priced better rated alternative service company for this repair. I have installed HVAC systems, and been trained by the Navy in A/C&R, am an engineer and have been a project manager for multimillion dollar HVAC installs, I don't appreciate someone who is taking advantage of home warranty customers, sad thing is most home owners don't have my background and probably don't know they are getting overcharged.

Based on an inspection by another HVAC company I wanted a 2nd opinion. An appt was available for early in the afternoon. I got a call when the tech was 15 mins away. He came in and began the checking the system. He found a few issues, but nothing compared with the report I received earlier in the day. Adding freon fixed the problems we had. I didn’t need to replace the system, freon was reasonably priced and I am a happy customer.

Stockdale Service was assigned by American Home Shield (AHS) due to an AC claim. This claim turned into the need to replace both the outside compressor unit as well as the evaporator coil. Stockdale handled the engagement with AHS and the limited credit provided by AHS to help offset the cost. The project was well explained and work scheduled based on my request. Sean and Jake arrived on time and finished the work within the promised 3 hr timeframe. Both were extremely professional, friendly, and clearly technical. Sean explained what was done and the operation of the new thermostat provided with the unit. Jake covered the warranty information with me and of course, took my check. While only in service for 24 hours, the new system seems to be working as expected. I would highly recommend and will continue to use Stockdale Service for my heating and AC needs. Thanks guys!

Jake was awesome. Not only did he show up on time but it was at the earliest point in my 3 hour window. All I needed to do was provide him access to the thermostat and the outdoor unit and he was on it! Within 5 minutes he identified the problem (dead motor/low freon) and began making the repairs. After just 15 minutes the icy cool air was pumping through my vents again. Later Jake reviewed with me the problems, told me other possible issues he saw that I should keep and eye on and left me with some awesome maintenance tips to ensure my system keeps running like a champ. He was awesome.

Astoundingly, they were able to come out same day as the service request.  The heat pump wasn't working and my "normal" service company told me it was a faulty controller board in the unit.  Since I have an AHS warranty, I contacted them to get the service setup. 
The fella who came out was very nice and quickly identified that the problem was not the controller board (which I feared would take a few days to get a replacement in), but rather a faulty wire to the power supply on the board.  He fixed that up and then found out that my thermostat was also faulty - so he replaced that as well.
Very professional, and I will actually use them for my "normal" maintenance rounds, too.  They likely saved me a couple hundred dollars in what would have been an unnecessary replacement of the circuit board - along with the replacement of the thermostat.

Jim Stockdale had steered me away from more expensive services and unnecessary repairs and services.  I am an AHS member.  When a repair was needed  (leaking freon), Jim did the repair under terms of the AHS contract.  I have full confidence in him.  When I call, I can usually schedule service (with a two-hour window) within a day or two, and Jim always arrives promptly.  Highly recommended.

I have American Home Shield and through them had Stockdale come out to service my heating and ac unit because the outside unit stopped working.
Andres came and immediately found the problem. He didn't have the motor with him and said he'd have to get it from a supplier. The problem was that Stockdale is a small business and Andres had two other service calls to tend to. He said he might not be able to return until the following day. I told him to do his best as temperatures were expected to drop. To my surprise he returned within a couple of hours and completed the work.
Andres in my opinion did his best to provide great customer service.

Stockdale service is an American Home Shield (AHS) A/C contractor.  They did two things for me under the home warranty.  1.  replace a faulty furnance ignitor.  2.  replace a bad duct work.
The faulty furnance ignitor was replaced without a htich.  However, the ductwork was not put back to the way it was.  The original length was about 16 feet long but they replaced it with a 10 foot duct instead.  I expressed concern about the sharp turn and the crimped duct in the new layout but Andrew was unhappy about my comment.  At the end, we kept the way he installed. 
After some time, I realized that the A/C and heating performance deterioated somewhat due to the restricted flow.  According to some A/C industry publication, a sharp 90 degree is equivalent to 10-20 feet of duct in resistance.  I called them to report the problem after I narrowed down the reason of the loss of A/C and heating performance to the the ductwork. Debbi declined to correct the installation because it has been so long.  Well, I am no longer with AHS and I will not hire contractors from AHS again.
