Called Tom and he came out the next day. He was fully prepared to repair the couch and did it for a very resonable price. He even gave me a bid while he was here to recover the entire couch if I wanted to do so in the future.

Chair is better than when we originally received it from the retailer. Cushion is firmer, better loft and spring support has been beefed up. We will not go back to the original retailer again because of his indifference. We would recomend Tom's Upholstery without hesitation.

Tom provided service that was way above expectations and at a great price. Tom does not buy the fabric. He wants you to go pick it out. He tells you how much to buy and his estimates are just about right on. I did not believe that he could be so accurate. He told me to get 16 yards for the couch; I got 18 yards to be safe. He provided throw pillows that were not part of the deal and returned 2 yards of material. We had purchased the material and had bought 1 roll that was good and 1 that was bad with out knowing it. Instead of just putting on what we bought he called and said their was a problem and offered to bring the fabric back. Indeed the fabric was not as represented and the store from which we purchased the fabric from made it good. Tom had already started covering the furniture when he discovered the problem and he still did not alter his price. The fabric was $500, Tom charged $1000 for pickup, delivery and covering. I am approximately 60 miles one way from his shop.

He is a real professional. He took one look at the chair mechanism and knew that it was one of the models that had a faulty mechanism. He ordered a new one and came back out later and repaired the chair. We haven't had anymore problems with the recliner.
