NOT GOOD. Mr Politz, who we believe does not have any in staff workers, hired subs to do a lousy job. The job that he said would be completed in two weeks was lagging through week 4 and still could not get the work right. In between, we discussed the next, much bigger project. He told us the amount and we gave him the hefty deposit he asked for. Several days later, with the next project not even begun, we told Mr Politz we were not moving forward with the next project and to return our deposit. Mr Politz had a worker collect all his tools, mid job, and left. Its been several weeks and he has ignored all our attempts to reach him. Right now, we are out $15,000 for our deposit.
Description of Work: Mr Politz was initially hired to renovate 2 attic spaces into a walk in closet and a kitchen area. He was also to stain a handrail, refinish a walk in closet, and build an entertainment center

I contacted Mr. Politz as he came highly recommended by our Home Inspector. We were looking to hire Mr. Politz to perform remodeling of our formal living room into a bedroom and turn the downstairs powered room into a full bath. I talked to him and arranged a appointment for Saturday, September 14 at 2pm. He agreed. 2pm came and gone...with no call or any contact from him. I called 3 times and texted him as well just asking if he wasn't going to make it, just let us know...he never did. Our time is valuable just like his time and for him to not respond is unprofessional in my book. - Ron Smith
Description of Work: Nothing. He never showed up or returned my call to cancel or reschedule

The next year, we started demanding a refund and when we finally made contact, he admitted he had dropped the ball with his carpet installer and said he would deliver a check. Several months passed with no contact and then he once again he said he would deliver a check. After 3 months of no contact and a total refusal to answer our calls or return emails, texts or phone calls, we are now forced to turn to the legal process. This is very disturbing to us as we have trusted Tim in the past and now he is cheating us out of quite a bit of money. Our recommendation to others is don't trust Tim Politz to finish the job or refund any money for work not done.
Description of Work: In Feb 2011, we contracted to have Tim Politz install carpet amongst other things at my sister's house. We paid for all materials plus his commission at the time. He completed only part of the work but never installed the carpet. After a number of months trying to get Tim to reply as to when he would finish the job, he stopped returning our calls.

Very pleased with the final results, work was done while my wife and I were on vacation. Both projects are quality you would find in a custom home.
Description of Work: Converted tub into show stall also remodeled another shower stall.

The two workers arrived on Monday morning as promised. The first day was demolition derby with all tile coming off, toilet taken out, old bathtub gone, walls opened for new plumbing fixtures and valves. I picked out my new tub which ended up being couple of inches wider and longer then original therefore adding to the job (in time). The wall had to be cut and new plaster put on which led to my tub going in on Wednesday. The tile guys came over right on time Thursday and finshed tiling the shower/bath and floor on Friday morning. They went above and beyond when three of my dogs ran out the front door...they took off running to bring them back !! The work they performed was wonderful I felt. They were very experienced and did the work on a timely basis. The painters were also very nice guys and great painters with nice attention to detail. Their boss Daniel E; Lee saved me from myself helping me to match & contrast the walls with the new tile. Also saved my foyer by helping me pick a color that would make my artwork on the wall POP which it did !! Dan should be on HGTV - very good eye with color. Over all I am very pleased with the quality of work performed......everyone came everyday until work was completed. My bathroom looks gorgeous.....the shade of blue Dan picked is extremely pretty - I love it !!! Also cleaned up the entire area at the end of every day and hauled off all debris each and every day !
Description of Work: I had installed a new bathtub, new tile in bath & shower, new floor to match, two grab bars on shower, recessed soap niche, new base boards (installed, caulked and painted), new shower valves, had drain plumbing location reworked, new backer board installed. Bathroom door frame repaired. Also had the texture on the walls redone, complete bathroom painted (including the popcorn ceiling) they hand brushed the ceiling. Had my foyer painted including trim, base boards, inside of door and extra large door frame.
