Duanes Mobile Home Leveling

Not well!!!

He showed up on time with two helpers. Within a half hour he was complaining about one of his helpers to me, the customer. At about ten a.m., he fired the guy in front of me and told him he would have to sit around and wait until the end of the work day to get a ride home. In his estimate, he was to remove all old piping, replace with new piping in the same place above the insulation and I assumed it would all meet or exceed code. He finished the job and a month later, I had a company come to reskirt and relevel. Upon removing the skirting, I observed all of the plumbing for the southern bathroom hanging well below the insulation and the insulation was shredded and hanging down. I had the contractor doing the reskirting, replace Duane's work and as he did, we found several places where the old piping was left in and the hot water heater did not comply with code, as Duane did not put flex piping in. I contacted Duane and told him what I found and that I did not trust him to fix anything and I wanted my money back. He came and looked at the pictures I had and admitted it was not a very good job, but refused to refund my money.

They came out as planned and got out to work. We agreed on $1200, but when he came out he raised the price an extra $35. He wouldn’t reconnect the water until I paid it, so I had no choice. When they left, I was less than pleased. I had to pick up their trash and fix the skirting they had removed. I also didn’t appreciate the foul language used. The home was leveled in the end, but I wouldn’t use them again.

 It did not go well at all. I trully feel this man because thru conversation knew I was a widow & had no help or guidance & therefore he could take advantage of my situation & my money of which I had very little. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to tell my story & maybe I can save someone else from this experience. I am not sure of these dates because I have no paper work. At one time I had a reciept where I paid him , but I no longer have any idea where I put it. Thank you again & God Bless you.
