Recommended to us when our old car needed exhaust part. Fair and on time. Warranty on work.

The provider was one day late in getting the vehicle out. After my daughter drove it gently home for 10 miles, she noted that it was leaking red fluid. We assumed the car was overheating again and leaking red coolant. We told her to take it to Mid-Cities Auto Service across the street based on Angie's List positive reviews - to check for a blown head gasket. They determined that vehicle was not overheating, but it had a transmission fluid leak from a bad fitting into the aftermarket radiator that Miller Radiator had installed. MidCities repaired it and replaced 1 pint of transmission fluid.
Miller claimed they had leak tested the 1996 Accord before it went out the door, but obviously they missed something. After much effort to reach the Miller Radiator manager, we were able to get a partial refund of the extra cost of taking the vehicle to MidCities.
It was a major inconvenience for my daughter with her new job to have to deal with Miller Radiator's mistakes.
Shortly after the radiator work, the A/C compressor went out on the Accord. While inspecting the vehicle, I noticed that an electric line between a holder on the radiator and the A/C compressor had been severed and then poorly patched. The wire fell loose from the electric patch. With the battery disconnected and with an extra link of heavier wire, we were able to repair the patch. It is possible that the 1.5 year old A/C compressor was damaged by the broken wire. We are not certain, so we have not asked for more money back from Miller Radiator. The A/C has not been working since then. It needs a replacement A/c compressor.
Needless to say, poor quality control and an apparently rushed job could be reasons to avoid this place. You might have more problems after leaving this place than when you came in for help.

I called Miller Muffler to get a general idea of the price for the work to be done. I was quoted $350. I called other places in my area and no one would give me a price, they wanted me to bring the car in first. I took my car to Miller at 10AM. They called me back at around 12PM and said the work was done. The charge was $350 and so far the car runs great. If I anything goes wrong, I'll post another report but for now it's fine.

Follow up report. Catalytic is just fine. Runs like a dream. Forgot to mention that they noticed that my shocks were shot. They called me to let me know and wanted to know if they could do a quote for me. I am usually a little leery about stuff like this, but what the heck. When I showed up they were on the phone calling to get me the best prices on the parts. They gave me the price and told me to just think about it. No pressure whatsoever. What a great place!

We picked it up and it died 3 days later. They picked it up free of charge and checked it again and could find nothing wrong. They then took it to another company and told them what was happening with it. They actually took it to the other company and still charged us nothing. The other company couldn't find anything wrong with it either. They did not have to drive our car there, especially at no charge to us. They did not charge us anything to do that. When we have taken our other car there for a/c, they ended up finding a leak in the radiator. They ordered the part and took care of it and told us what they needed to do. Their prices are very reasonable. It is a family owned business and they are the nicest people.
