There's always room for improvement so I would give them a B.

The whole thing was just a mess, it was not a good experience at all! The guy who did the install, the father, didn't really seem to be qualified to work with Tankless water heaters and had to have the son (the one who did the quote) come out and help finish the install--the initial time estimation was 3-4 hours but it took closer to 12-13. The quote covered all of the required supplies (pipes, fittings, etc...) other than the water heater, venting and valve kit.
I purchased the water heater from a reputable source offering a good price. Before purchasing the venting, I had these guys come out and give the estimate and tell me how much venting I would need and what type. He told me what I needed and how much, I ordered it. I did make a mistake in ordering and purchased one piece that had a metal center duct, based on what he had said. He informed me I needed concentric ducting with a metal internal duct (Rinnai). When the installed it, we discovered there was one with the polypropylene but the installer thought it should work, it did not... I had to leave the cover off the system so it could pull combustion air in through the closet (fortunately, the closet is ventilated from outside by design to avoid bad combustion air from inside) until the proper venting could be obtained. I investigated further and discovered that all of the venting should have been polypropylene and not stainless, which ended up saving me around $100--also glad I found this because I would have had to wait even longer and dealt with returning more crap--he wasn't aware I had the more efficient unit (even though I was very very clear about this). I take credit for the venting, mostly, because I should have done more research and I generally do... Rule 1 of owning your own place is to research EVERYTHING, no matter what you are told.
The guy didn't bring an adequate appliance gas line and told me I would have to go without hot water until sometime the next day if I didn't get it myself. I ran to Home Depot and purchased the length I was told and it wasn't long enough and they were closed by the time I found that out. They decided just to extend the gas line about a foot or so using the black metal piping commonly used which looks pretty dumb and wastes space I'd planned on using for other stuff, they refused to fix it unless I paid an additional $125. They didn't clean the water line or install the screen initially, apparently, which caused a flow sensor to not function properly. I ended up relying on my home warranty company to come out to clean up their mistakes--thank goodness I had that! The guy literally argued with me in a very condescending way when I asked that they fix the gas line which pointing up at a 45 degree angle, still. They did not reimburse me for the appliance gas line I had to buy. On top of all that, they stained my carpet!!
The really cherry on top of it all was that they refused to send me a receipt. I asked for it before he left and he told me he would email it to me. I emailed him several times and left messages but he refused to return any of them. The receipt was just in case I needed it when I claimed the Energy Efficient upgrade on my income tax return.
They offered a reasonable price but the lack of professionalism and and poor workmanship wasn't worth it.

Response from Garcia Plumbing
"Sorry that you were dissatisfied with whoever it is that you used. You have left a very bad review on Garcia Plumbing in Ennis. We didn't do a job for you or anyone else in Dallas. We don't service Dallas nor Dallas county. We also don't have a father and son company. We also don't ask or allow our customers to supply the material for a Rinnai tankless water heater. Please delete or move this review to the correct location. Thank you."

Promptly responded and instructed me to cut off the water supply at the street. Worked for 2-3 hours to repair the crack in the waterline and had to acquire new parts (which seemed to be the most time consuming). The workers were very courteous and professional.

The neat thing about them is that they come to my house and do the work and then once a month I get a bill. I've been using them for 10 years and I can say that historically the bill will be about $75. I called them and they were here within a couple of hours. They have great service and they show up when they say they are going to. I have dogs so I always request that they call ahead so I can let the dogs out and they do. They are really professional and they are very established in this area. They are competitive as far as other companies and they get the job done. They are excellent and I know whom to call. It is not a crapshoot because I know they will get the work done. They are really good about explaining what they need to do and why. I will probably use them for another 10 years.

They have come hear on a holiday and their quality of service has been excellent. I really like their promptness. They are very efficient and very good at diagnosing any problems.
