They did an excellent job and doing the driveway for me. Very reasonable and they were able to work with me. I will use them again in the future.

My project went beautifully. Small job doing my driveway, with turns and downhill. They cut into the old base to get a nice even foundation. The next day put down the asphalt. Done in 2 days, cleaned up the area and gave it a couple days to set. They also paved my little alcove where the trash bins live. Will be so much easier to pull them to the street. Great crew, professional job. Exceedingly pleased.

General Asphalt was hired to install an asphalt road. The owner was extremely polite and offered a one year warranty. The company also received very good reviews and seemed very honest and trustworthy. The work was accomplished over several days. Unfortunately, a portion of the work was done in very cold temperatures. The end result was less than desirable. There was layers of loose gravel (on a very steep road) and already signs of unevenness and erosion throughout. The company reapplied the material on various sections of the road and scraped other sections of the road. This exasperated the issue, leaving more road erosion. Some areas were through the base material. The company came a third time to apply larger gravel to the steepest point of the road and agreed to fix “only” the bad areas. The agreement to perform the work is only if I would agree not to negatively post comments on the company’s performance or take them to court. I found this to be appalling, since the work was inadequate and still under warranty. The road is now only nine months old and there is erosion, cracks and grass growing through the asphalt. The owner has informed me to spray weed killer and there’s nothing more he can do. Customers speak of their great service and communication, but perhaps they were smaller jobs or this company is not accustomed to working in rural areas. The work performed was very low standard, it was a cost of over $20k (so not cheap), and the warranty is worth nothing.

This company, General Asphalt Paving Company did an awesome job. I highly recommend them. They go the extra mile to help you. This company is very professional and they know what they are doing.
