I had a very bad experience with this tuner. First, he came an hour late. No apologies, nothing. Second, after he left we noticed a problem, which was not there before the tuning, with the key. I called him Monday, and he said he will show up on Thursday when he will "have time" for me. He did not. He didn't even call or text. Finally, after my message, he came on Friday. He said that the key problem was "irrelevant", and it will cost me another $50 on top of the money I already paid. He said that I should be grateful that he put some lubricant with no charge on another key. Apparently, according to him, several drops of the lubricant should cost another $50 on top of the tuning price. :-))) I would not recommend him to anyone (unless you want to wait for him forever, pay $50 extra for every key and end up with unsolved problems) :-))

Ray was running a little bit late to my appointment (about 30 min.), but he called ahead of time to let me know he would be a late. My original quote was for $150, but after he checked out the piano and saw that it hadn't been tuned in a long time and was way off pitch, he gave me the option of doing a more thorough (and more expensive) tuning this time, which I chose to do. He was very friendly and professional, and I will use him again in the future.

I called made an appointment. We got mixed up on date and time. Rescheduled. He called ahead of time and told me he was on his way. Ray is a very pleasant man. He proceeded to detach my piano as I told him what was not working. He fixed all parts not working. He tuned my piano and played a beautiful piece for me afterward. I gave him a check for his services. I play my piano every day for several hours so it needs tuning about every 6 months. I plan on calling him in 6 months to have my piano tuned again.

I was visiting in Waco and decided to have my daughter's piano turned while I was there. The gentleman at Homestead Pianos told me it would be next week before he could get to it, but when he found out I was only in town for the week, he shifted his schedule enough that he was able to work me in. He was very professional and did an excellent job tuning a grand piano that that been moved three times since being tuned. Not only was the piano in wonderful condition when he left, but this outstanding pianist provided an awesome concert as he tested the piano. Listening to him play was almost worth the cost of the tuning.
