The windows and doors are very nice. However, the installation crew was very unprofessional. First, it was difficult to communicate with them. There was only one English speaker in the entire crew. If he was busy or in his truck or running an errand, I couldn't communicate with the crew. This led to a couple misunderstandings. Also, they did not clean up after themselves. I still have shavings of glass in my yard. I had to call several times to get the crew back out to clean up large, obvious pieces of glass. My side and back yard, as well as my drive way were littered with little pieces of glass. The crew removed all of our window bars. One guard was difficult to remove, so without consulting my husband or I, they chopped the bars apart and ripped them off the window. The bars were ruined. I had to call several times to argue my case that they should be replaced. After talking with three people, Window World did decide to to refund us $200 for the damage. This did not cover the repair costs though. Our original windows and doors were covered in lead paint. I have small children and paid extra for lead containment. In my opinion, their lead containment was nominal at best. They made an effort to tape up the windows so no lead dust or paint chips would settle in the house. However, the window coverings had huge gaps in them. The rooms were very dusty. Lead dust was everywhere. So much lead paint and dust was left in my yard. My husband and I had to shovel away the top layer of soil all around our house so that our children wouldn't play in contaminated dirt. I called over and over again to get a crew out to clean it up, but it took them weeks. I was so disappointed. We paid hundreds for lead containment. Real lead containment was very important to me because of my children and pet. They had given me the impression that they knew what they were doing and were capable. I complained that they hadn't actually contained any lead, however, they refused to refund my lead containment fee. They didn't even clean it up! When they installed our windows and our doors, they damaged our house quite a bit. The window sills are scratched, some are gouged. Much of our exterior stucco is damaged where ever they worked. They installed a sliding glass door in our kitchen and broke off huge pieces of exterior stucco. They also pulled up a wall length worth of baseboard. I still don't know why they did that. I asked if they would be repairing any of the damages, and they said, "Sorry, we don't do that. Our sales rep usually neglects to tell customers." I understand that they can't be responsible for everything, but when the damage is so extreme, they should make a small effort to fix it. Again, I was very disappointed in their customer service. They ordered a wrong window and installed it anyways. They reinstalled both of my storm doors incorrectly. And, the lock on my sliding door was originally installed incorrectly. Window World did eventually fix these problems, but I was always surprised at all the mistakes they kept making. Finally, one of their crew members used my restroom and ripped the toilet lid off the seat. I don't know why. Window World did pay for the damages. I was just shocked that it happened in the first place. Overall the crew seemed untrained. I don't think they are the best at what they do. I would never use them again for anything. I was so happy when they visited for the last time. They came to reinstall a window they broke and replace some trim they forgot to order for our back door.

The sales representative, Chris Woo was very professional, and pleasant. He spent time answering all of our questions about the windows. We would like to eventually replace all of our windows, but are only able to do a few at a time at this time. He gave us an estimate for replacement of all the windows, and also estimates for doing windows a few at a time. They had told us that it would take at least 6 weeks for the windows to come in. It took closer to 9 weeks. The workman who installed the windows did a wonderful job. They were friendly, courteous, professional, and very efficient. They did a good job cleaning up after themselves. So far, we are very happy with the new windows. We plan to use Window World again when we replace the rest of our windows.

Ordered a new front door with side panels. the new door came
in and opened the wrong way so it had to be remade. Several months later new
door and side panels were installed. The second door had the wrong finish on
the hardware and the side panels had the wrong glass. Several months later the correct glass side
panels and hardware were installed. The whole process took more than a year.
Now that they got it right it is lovely and we are finally satisfied.

We paid for triple paned glass and it sounds like we got double paned. We've had very bad service from Window World. This happened a year ago now and we've been waiting for them to get the windows installed right so that they work the way they're supposed to and they don't have wind leaks. It's just been an on-going problem. We feel very strongly about this company because on the national level, when we looked online, they had complains in other places but they have no complaints here in El Paso so we thought it was a new company here and they didn't have complaints so we risked using them because we had another company that gave us an estimate. We went with them because they're a bigger company and now we really regret having done that. I just don't want to have any more dealings with this company. The one thing that they had in their contract is that the windows are guaranteed for life no matter what the reason is. I don't recommend them.

They were quick. Even though replacing windows is a dusty job, but they were clean. They didn't destroy the plants in our pool house when they replaced the windows, which was good. There were some minor damage around the windows that they are going to come back and repair, but it is normal as they are ripping windows out of your wall. The manager paid close attention to our sliding glass window that is something I wouldn't have never caught. They ordered a new one to replace it because I guess the frame was too tight for the window and it does not open smooth enough for his standards.

Showed up on time for estimate and was very professional. Took about 6 weeks for the windows to arrive after they were ordered. Workers had a problem with a flat tire on the trailer on the day of installation, but they called early, got the problem fixed and still finished the project the same day. The price was not the lowest I had received, but the quality of the windows, with the lifetime warranty, was worth the extra cost. Window World also contributes to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital which is my major charitable organization.

They burned a hole in our carpet and we had to fight them to pay to cover this fix. They only wanted to replace carpeting, not pad. The carpet people told us they had to replace the pad. We are happy with the end result though.
