"Thank you for your positive review. We appreciate it."
I have used this company for several years. I am on a yearly lawn/yard plan. They come every month to do some kind of yard maintenance service from fertilizing the lawn, treating for grubs, to deep root feeding of my trees and shrubs. I always receive a call from Veronica the day before to remind me they are coming and to tell me if there is anything special I need to do.
I have also used Growing Concern for tree pruning. My trees were badly overgrown and Joel explained that it would be best for the health of the trees if the pruning took place in stages. He was right. It took more than one season to bring them back to their potential, but now my trees look beautiful.
I will continue to use The Growing Concern.

"I am sorry you were unhappy with our service, however spider mites are very difficult to control, the populations are influenced by the climate, and the insecticides that are currently labeled to use around residential sites for mites are very limited. One single spider lives approx 45 days and can lay up to 1000 eggs in this time. One mite is the size of a spec of dust, in a heavy infestation in a one inch square their could be over 500 adults. The best way to control...note control..not get rid of, because that is not possible, is regular spraying. We begin spider mite control in January with an oil spray, then again in March, and another one in May. Even that is sometimes not enough depending upon the climate. The current class of insecticides available are not very effective on mites. We use what is legally available and labeled for homeowners at the legal rate. Your initial spraying was late in the season and under normal El Paso weather conditions one application at this time would usually have been enough, but it was hot and dry...perfect conditions for mite reproduction. Our company will do single applications but we prefer our clients to get on a tree and shrub program where your results will be better as you receive successive applications plus regular feedings.
