After a whole day of work, leaving the tenants without gas and hot water, the following morning I get a bill from the plumber performing the work of $1300.00. What? I decided to talk with the manager (owner) and they use coercive tactics for me to pay. Since this apartment is very old, there are a few issues that will not pass code. He told me he will call the city to inspect the work, They did and charged me what ever they felt like, According to them, they gave me a reduction in price, but only after I told them I was not going to pay for their lack of planning for the job. They did not bring enough material and this is why they left me without gas and hot water. My mistake was not to get anything in writing because I was in a rush because of a gas leak. Buyer beware!
"Customer made changes during our work process, he wanted to penny pinch on everything. He refused to sign the agreement that's why there wasn't one. He made changes at job site several times so we needed to go back to shop and get additional material. Customer did not want to pay because he claims he could get parts less expensive after agreeing on the price. We spoke several times and he did pay off balance. We thank him for the business."
UPDATE: 1/20/15: They came this morning with the camera and measured everything. They told us what needs to be done and will give an estimate. They did a good job, and were very nice.
"We went out to do a camera view wish is what she purchased on line but we found out that she had a clogged sewer and it had to be unclogged 1st. We did not know line was clogged til on site. The tech that went was a camera specialist so when he tried to unclog line and couldn't he had to reschedule to have one of our plumbers to go and unclog line. Customer also requested we fix a leak in her front yard a hose bib which we did. Surety plumbing fixed the leak rescheduled plumber for next morning to unclog line and then run camera. We called her next morning to confirm appointment she didnt answer phone also additional # she gave us was disconnected. Surety Plumbing has been leaving messages to get line unclogged, run camera to see what problem is but have not received a return phone call. I have left several messages up to a couple of days ago but no answer. She did pay and we would like to finish the service call. Lawrence Puga 915 779 1101"
