they started off quick to respond, contacted them on a Thursday, had a quote Friday they began setting poles Monday. Finished work at night was not able to see all the "mistakes" made. The gating was the biggest issues as you can see from the picture, Attempted to contact Stennar for weeks & months with no response, tried calling from different numbers and they would answer hmm??? One post a nail was sticking out like a sore thumb, Very unprofessional from a management stand point, was going to have them build a pergola , not anymore, I would NOT recommend to anyone.

In the beginning Samuel was on top of showing up to take measurements and offered me discounts to doing the rest of my backyard at once. We scheduled to have one gate side sealed off and extended out and to have the other side extended out and have a gate put in and the to have the back wall and side wall erected a three foot wood fence over our rock wall. The guys were supposed to come Friday to pour concrete and put in the braces. They showed up on Saturday after I had to call to inquire. They poured and set in the braces. I noticed one brace was too far in (instead of extending and sealing off the wall they put it where the original fence was) I called and he assured me it would extended out. They came a week later to install and holy moley. DISASTER! They put the poles in and left them three feet above the finished fence. So we literally had three foot of exposed pole above our fencing. And of course they sealed off the side against the house (instead of pushing it out) and installed the new gate against the house (instead of pushing it out). In process knocked a bunch of stucco off the walls and made holes. The new boards were mostly warped and cracked and splintering. I called and complained and the guys came back a week later. They were there 7 hours. They moved the side out where it was supposed to be and again had them replace several board because they were cracked and damaged. They cut the extra three foot tall poles down, slanted and cracked them. They installed light caps on the poles and damaged them by screwing too hard. The big new wood fence had several warped boards in in them to the point where you could feel a breeze and see through the slats because it was so warped. When i called to complain Samuel told me I was too picky and he has never had anyone complain about his work. He offered me $600 off because I was unhappy. I requested he show up to look at his workmans work. He came and said "Oh well that's just his craftsmans work. They're not very good." I literally could not make this up. Those were his words verbatim. It got "fixed" and he started asking for the full amount because they "fixed" all the problems. I fought for money off and in the end got $100 off. Now from two weeks ago I have warped board in the gate again. Please people, save your self time, money and hassle. Do not hire this contractor. All the F ratings on here should tell you he does terrible work. It is difficult to get a hold of him to fix the warped boards that have started again from two weeks ago work.

After inspection of the installed pergolas, i noticed very poor craftsmanship including misaligned nails, poorly attached beams damaged further by strong winds, a painted street curb (painted while they attempted to paint brackets used in the pergola) and large cracks in wood used. In addition, the incorrect kind of wood was also used in the construction. Instead of using weather resistant cedar and pressure treated wood, the contractor used standard construction grade 2x6s and posts. Upon bringing these issues to the attention of the contractor, they issued a $200 discount off the contracted price. However, upon payment, the owner of the company failed to honor this discounted rate and refuses to honor the warranty.

It was a terrible experience. He is the most unprofessional person I've dealt with in a long time. The sun shade was incorrectly installed and when I asked him to fix it, he got mad and rude. He reluctantly moved the shade, but it still wasn't installed correctly and he left. Now the top beams are warping bad and the sun shade has fallen off completely. He refuses to even come look at it or honor his own 5 year warranty. He talked a good game in the beginning and promised his professionalism, it was anything but professional. Don't use this company!!! Once he gets paid, he's done with you.

Mr. Stenner went over every detail of the project and the schedule. We knew exactly what to expect. Mr. Stenner had taken accurate measurements and a footprint was made. Work started on 11/13 about noon with the digging for the placement of the posts and the pouring of the cement for anchoring. This probably would have started in the morning; but the weather did not cooperate. This phase was done about 3:30. The next morning the second phase started. All of the posts and wood had already been precut, stained and treated. I think the hard part was unloading the truck and hauling all of the materials into the backyard! The two workman had this down to a science and in no time the pergola was complete. The workmen were very polite and professional. They didn't play loud music while they worked which I greatly appreciated as I work the night shift and had to sleep while they were working. The pergola was finished by 5 pm including the clean up. We are very pleased with the beginning of our backyard paradise. I highly recommend

Exceptional! This is one of the only companies I have dealt with in El Paso that showed when they said they would ... Every time! Matt (the German guy) was the best to work with. Samuel (the owner) was professional but always seemed rushed and less personable. Although they followed through with everything that they said they would I.e. timeline, price, quality, etc. Expect $10 per square foot and an extra $100 for the concrete bases. $100 if you want them to come back year to year for maintenance. They matched the pitch to the patio roof and the length I requested. I had plans to do the pergolas myself, but I was unsure about how I wanted to tie them into the house. I couldn't have asked for a better experience regarding the pergolas. I hope the other review was just an unfortunate experience, because I will refer them to anyone looking to have a new pergola.
