The contractor who hired Star City to do the work was very cooperative and friendly throughout the process. However, the subcontractor, Star City, was very difficult to work with and did not supervise the laborers who performed the work. The outward appearance of the work was pleasing for the most part but I had to call and have them redo some of the grouting, due to a difference in color. Before I even finished paying for the work, I had a huge leak that caused a big bubble in my ceiling below the master bathroom. The grouting in the upstairs hall bath started cracking even before the whole job was finished and needed to be redone. The first time I tried to use the shower, the hot water side of the fixture ran cold water and the cold water side was hot. The same problem occured in the upstairs hall tub. Mr. Nunez' demeanor was not professional and he was very unpleasant to be around. I ended up hiring someone else to repair the ceiling because I didn't want to have to deal with him again. Since then I have had repeated leaks in the downstairs ceiling which means I have to hire someone to redo the shower floor and fix the tub overflow drain. I had a leak detection company do a 24 hour test on it and there was signifcant loss of water meaning the shower pan was not replaced before the new tile was installed. I tested the tub and when I let the water reach the overflow drain there was water pouring out of the holes in my ceiling downstairs.
