In a 100 year old house, when things go wrong, they go really wrong! Recently, the drains in the back part of the house (bedrooms/laundry room) started backing up. It got to the point a 3-minute shower was all that was required to cause the back up. We called Plumbing Doctor and (since it wasn't an emergency) they came out the next morning.
Gilbert and the other man were very professional and courteous. They spent about 2-1/2 hours running the video cam trying (1) to trace the lines and (2) to find the blockage. We found the lines, but the blockage appears to be in the leach lines of the septic -- something they admitted was beyond their expertise. However, while they were here, we did discuss remodeling 3 of the old bathrooms and we're expecting an estimate by week's end.
Also, while they were here they noticed one of the toilets was leaking and reseated it for us!
We highly recommend them!
Will update the review after the remodel.
Came home after some weeks absence and discovered our water heater was leaking water and this was at 6:00 PM.
Called the Plumbing Doctor as suggested by an in-law. Someone answered, said he'd have someone there around 10:00 next morning. Around 10:00 Mike showed up and they went to work. Shortly after arrival, a truck pulls up, 2 fellows unload the new Rheem water heater, get it hooked up and running and they leave.
Mike stayed and fixed a couple of other problems and came back the next day to tweak an issue.
Now, what's so remarkable about this? Really it should be standard service but standard service is hard to find anymore it my experience.
Great experience with the Plumbing Doctor.

one. The new water heater was brand "Stage Water Heaters". Told us to wait a while for the water to heat and left. Water did not heat and they were called back and responded promptly. The heater was defective and they said they would return and replace it in the morning-too late to get a new heater from supplier that day. Came promptly next morning and removed the defective heater and installed another "Stage" water heater. After much waiting it turned out that this heater was also defective! I told them that based on their previous excellent service fixing a drain problem, I would allow them one more chance providing they would install another brand water heater. They removed the second defective water heater and installed a "Rheem"water heater and all seems to be going well. For the record, the first "Stage" had a leak and the second one had an electrical fault. This plumber bent over backwards to ensure we were pleased, cleaned up everything, and was prompt, courteous and professional. I highly recommend them. Special kudos to Mikey who was in charge of the project.
UPDATE: After a few days we noticed one of the drains for which we had a new faucet installed was leaking. Note that we didn't have any work done on the drain, just the replacemnt of the faucet. We called Plumbing Doctor, anf they sent somone out to take a look, and they repalced the drain for the cost of the parts ($20) with no labor cost. Again, we are very pleased with Plumbing Doctor
