The project started out OK, with some interesting suggestions for our new kitchen. During the design phase, they asked me for a deposit, before they had finalized an estimate, and before I'd approved the layout or selected color, finish, or hardware. Stupidly, I gave them a 60% deposit of $25,000, as they requested, so they'd know I was serious and so they'd get going on the project. When we got close to finalizing the kitchen layout, they taped the proposed design on the floor, and we discovered it wouldn't work for us -- my husband and I would be bumping into each other around an oddly shaped island. The designer wouldn't modify the design. He said, "I stand by my design." At this point, I was frustrated and just didn't want these guys in my house. So I cancelled the project.They agreed that they had done no work on the project other than the computerized drawings. The cabinets are ordered and constructed in Poland, I later learned. They would need exact measurements and materials and color selection before "releasing to production." Of course, that never happened. It has been 3 months since I cancelled (in writing). I have demanded they return my deposit. Now they're not returning my phone calls. I'm hiring an attorney. These people are not trustworthy. They are not honest. We feel they stole from us.
