I LOVE my kitchen!  The craftsmanship is top notch; everyday I smile and tell myself how much I love it.  Carlos Carrillo, the owner of Kristies Kitchens, is experienced, really can be trusted to know what to do and how to do it, is very reasonable and will work to stay in your budget, plus he and all his workers are honest, trustworthy and very good at what they do.  All my lower cabinets have pull-out shelves or turntables.  My pantry has pull out shelves and I love the way the sliding shelves and drawers move, plus he installed spice shelves on the doors of a cabinet.  Carlos had great ideas to make use of my space and was very receptive to my ideas; he is extremely nice and easy to work with.  He helped me select my granite as well as the company to make and install the granite surfaces.  I have lovely granite above my stove top and my sink plus a granite windowsill and cutting board in addition to the counter tops.  I cannot say enough good things about the Carlos Carrillo or his workers or their workmanship.  However, though Carlos is very busy and does his best to keep to a schedule, he did not keep to it at all with me.  Work began in April and he did not finish until July 4th.  He had many setbacks with his schedule but great patience is needed by whomever is having the work done when days go by and no one shows up although they promised they would be there.  Days can go by without a return call.  To make up for lost time, Carlos or his workers might work late until 9:30 PM or so. However, in spite of all the very disconcerting inconvenience, I would use Carlos Carrillo again to do my kitchen or doors as his price was so good, his knowledge and experience outstanding, his craftmanship professional, and he was so nice to work with.  I had received a similar bid from another company whose work I thought looked good in another person's home. However, that contractor was so overbearing and rude when I gave my ideas or expressed a different opinion of what I wanted--color, granite pattern, etc.  I would work with Carlos any day and put up with the inconvenience of his not being able to show up on time.  I did not know that would happen as a previous customer of his whom I called said he showed up on time and stuck to the contract.  Had I known to expect his not showing or not showing on time, I would have prepared myself.  I urge anyone who wants a quality, beautiful kitchen at an affordable price to use Kristies Kitchens but go into it prepared for it to take longer than promised.  The good thing is that you know he will not desert you or leave you with any problems; he is honest and trustworthy and will get there as soon as he can.  He had lost a partner that he had had when the previous customer used him so that was part of the problem.  Again, great guy, great knowledge, great experience, very honest, tremendous price, beautiful work!  Terrible at sticking to timetable.
