On 17 July 2019 I spoke with Megan Harris regarding work needed done to our roof because of shoddy workmanship done by a previous contractor in rebuilding the entire roof in 2014. I explained that I wanted the work stared the next week so I would have time to allow lawyers to get pictures as my wife and I were seeking litigation to recoup repair costs as the original contractor refused to make any repairs without payment. I told Megan that my wife would provide egress for her and her team to do an assessment but did NOT authorize work to be done yet. After I got off the phone with Megan she apparently disregarded what I had said about waiting and dispatched a technician that went to my house and began repairs on my roof. This altering of evidence ruined any chance of me recouping any funds from the previous contractors. Because of family matters I was not able to get on the roof to review work done but was told by my in-laws that the technician was not on the roof more than 45 minutes. Friday I got a bill for $800.00 for work completed. I called Megan to discuss the bill and told her I was willing to pay half until I reviewed the work which she assured me was complete. Friday 18 Jul 2019 afternoon I went home and got on my roof to review the work done the previous day. The technician had sealed all the pipes and the chimney but had not touched the shingles. Thus began the email exchange (See Megan_Email_Exchange_01.png, Megan_Email_Exchange_02.png Megan_Email_Exchange_03.png). I sent her the photos of the football and my foot under the loose shingles. Megan's response to my being upset (see Megan_Email_Exchange_03_Reponse.png) was to tell me that the Securing of the Shingles were not part of the deal. Upon reviewing the Work Proposal-Updated Kirwood.png one will find that it is line item #1 "Seal and Cement all Lifting shingles on Exterior Roof" which I so reminded her of (see Megan_Email_Exchange_04.png) incorrectly citing Line Item #2 because I was mad I couldn't see straight. At that point I logged onto my computer and was in the process of looking up a Phone Number for Angie's List to file a proper complaint when Megan called me. She began to attempt to lecture me on "the importance of Communication" when I explained to her that her conduct on A) NOT providing agreed upon service and billing for it any way was typical of local businesses and B) jumping the gun and ruining my legal case against the previous contract was not right. She then went on to try an lecture me again on how her business is "Different" and didn't want to be compared to the others because she was far more professional. At that point I said I just wanted someone to come review the current state of work and address any outstanding issues. She agreed that her partner and foreman would come at 2PM on 19 Jul. After getting off the phone Megan sends me a follow on email that completely sums up her professionalism(see Megan_Email_Exchange_Wedding_BS.png). Apparently addressing a customer's valid concerns is a bit of an inconvenience as she had a wedding to adttend. Saturday at 2pm Arturo Carrasco (Megan's Business Partner) and a technician (forgot his name) arrived promptly and we proceeded up to the roof. I pointed out the loose shingles. Arturo and the technician began looking for and sealing the loose shingles. Later I brought up a copy of the Work Proposal to show Arturo and he informed me that he had already seen it and resumed work on the shingles. About 2 hours and 40 minutes later they informed me that they were done. We all proceeded back up the roof and it appeared that they had completed the task. I sent Megan notification and requested a bill for $1000.00. Upon receipt Payment of the $1000.00 was made. I the received, without any remorse what so ever, her payment response (See Megan_Email_Exchange_Payment_Reponse.png) which upon reflecting on the exchange of the precious day came off as asinine. Unapologetic and smug is what one might expect from Gonorrhea. In closing I would have been motivated to leave a better review because of the interaction with Arturo and his efforts but the follow up from Megan has left rather ****** even 4 days later. All original emails are available for Angie's List personnel to review upon request.
