Gutierrez Construction & Remodeling

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! My wife and I hired them in February 1, 2023 to convert our garage, and the last day they came to work was April 28, 2023. They left the job unfinished, and very poor workmanship. They didn't even pull the correct permits and left me with an unpermitted mess! I eventually had to go through their bond to get money to finish the job, and it's still not finished. It's now August 19, 2023, and I am barely able to get another company to finish the job because all the other contractors didn't want to trust the work that was already done. Literally, had 5 companies come look at it to finish it, and only ONE was willing to help finish it. The Bond company won't even cover the poor workmanship, because the language of the bond only covers "up to code." I'm stuck with a poorly converted garage, that will barely meet code requirements.

I signed a contract with Gutierrez Construction and Remodeling, for services that included pouring concrete and creating a Rockwall. Mr. Enrique Gutierrez provided me with an estimate and a contract which specified the different phases of the work and the amounts of money I was to provide. The only thing left out of the contract was a start and end date, which I discussed it with Mr. Gutierrez. We agreed on start and end dates and signed the contract. The quality of the concrete is good, the employees were very polite, and the price was reasonable. Major concern is their lousy punctuality, they failed to meet our agreed upon deadline and did not bother to call. After I called several times we agreed on a different date and they also failed to show, without a call. The Rockwall portion of the contract is well overdue and there is no telling when they will execute it.

When they cut holes in the wall, you couldn’t even tell that. They did a pretty good job. I have recommended them. They did the work in four days. Their price is reasonable. They are honest. They got the job done quickly. The quality of work is good. I would use them in the future.
