Five Star Painting of El Paso

I highly recommend Five Star Painting. They have painted many of my rental homes, and their quality is outstanding. Always exceeding my expectations!

Craftsmanship did not meet expectations and I felt more like a supervisor than a client

These guys did a superb job for us! Our stucco on our house was in need of repair, and they did such an excellent job with both the repair and paint job. Pete was our guy who helped us with the estimate while Joe (new in town from Colorado) and the guy who worked with him (my apologies, I forgot his name) were hard workers who took such care in their work, it was like they were painting their own house. Thank you Five Star Painting, I am beyond happy with the job you did!

The person making the contract was not the painter and the job did not live up to the sales pitch. Areas of the facade board that should have been replaced were puttied over and not sanded.

I just moved to El Paso from Colorado and I have hired many contractors to complete projects on my home. Everyone I have hired so far was underwhelming. Not one has done what they said they would, within the timeline, and for the agreed upon price. One even did half the work (shoddily), took half the money, and I never saw him again. Initially Five Star Painting was different. Pete the painter offered great customer service. He gave me a reasonable quote quickly, and work began at the time we agreed. The painter worked quickly and probably could have finished in one day, but didn't due to a personal issue. I had no problem with the painter leaving for a personal issue, as she said she would be back the following day to finish. Previously we had agreed it would be a two day job to play it safe. Unfortunately, she was not able to come back the next day and I wasn't informed until the morning. This is an issue I have been facing since I moved here. This issue is why I am using Home Advisor. I completely empathize on human level that things come up, but if you say you're going to do something, then you have to do it. I planned my day around a painter being in my house, therefore I will be home. I also planned the following day with there being no painter in my house, therefore I would go to work. I will now have to miss a day of work that I didn't budget missing because of Five Star Painting. Maybe that should be budgeted into my new quote? With that said, the painter did high quality work. I just wish she had done it when she said she would. Five Star Painting is par for the course in El Paso. They will paint your house, but it's anyone’s guess as to when it will happen.

Before hiring Five Star Painting, we got a few more quotes, and they were the most thorough and professional. They started the project quickly and were available for any questions or concerns whenever they came up. Upon completion, they make sure that you are completely satisfied and touch up or correct anything that needs it when you do the final walk through.
