ESCANDON ROOFING

Escandon far exceeded basic roofing doing a fabulous job on my house. 4 years ago I had a new roof installed by a very poor roofer. At the first rain every penetration leaked as they had not even placed expansion caps on pipes etc. Escandon took great pains to repair flanges etc and install a new roof using the proper techniques. They were also fast and efficient.

Escandon Roofing had previously reshingled  5 roofs at our condominium complex. We hired them to complete 6 more and will probably do the same for the remaining 5.
 Owner showed up as scheduled for the estimates. He suggested improvements to the existing flashing which we accepted. Work crews showed up as scheduled and completed the work in a timely manner. The picked up debris and nails as they worked. They did a nice job installing new drip edges.
 Estimate had to be increased by $250 when it was later discovered that there was a second layer of existing shingles on one of the second story overhangs, but this would have been difficult to detect at the time of the original estimate.
 Overall this company appears to be competent and cost effective. We did not have to replace  rotted roof decking so this review does not cover that kind of repair. Our roofs do not have any kind of vents or pipes so we cannot evaluate their performance in this area.

Great group, professional, on time, kept things very clean during a messy job. Would hire them again, and recommend to anyone.

The experience did not go very well. I was not very happy with them. I ended up paying the full amount, and I told the individual who sold me the idea of what he was going to do, that he was deceptive. I ended up loosing $250. I was supposed to get some venting systems in the garage, and he talked me into getting some ridge vents, that sits on the very top of the ridge, and to find out, he did not put it on the entire ridge, he only put it in sections, which really looks bad. It looks like the roof is not completely done. I told him that from what I have seen in the papers, that is not the way it looks, it looks more complete from one end to the other. He said they did they did it on measurements, and I said it didn't look measured. I paid for something that I really do not think I got. They were late when coming in.

the management and the workers were absolutely professional.  all areas were cleaned every day and photo updates as to how the roofing was proceeding were provided.
