Excellent!! The worker was prompt and clean up was great.

My daughter called for an appointment to get an estimate to repair a leaking tile roof.  The appointment was for 0900.  The estimator showed up at 1230.  He was borderline rude, saying he would only give his inspection results to our son-in-law via phone.  After several weeks of no call, he has called the office three times.  In each case he was told they would contact the estimator who would return the call with the quote.  No results thus far.  Our opinion: "If you need your roof repaired, don't call Escalante Enterprises."

Upon an insurance inspection it was discovered that a shingle was missing from the roof. My insurance adjuster recommended Escalente Roofing and Construction. I contacted Johnny Escalente and he came out on Jan.9th,2014 and gave me an estimate of $350.00 which I thought was abit high for one shingle, but he explained they had to replace the plywood base below too and buy an entire package of shingles. Due to a time factor it needed to be repaired immediately in order to be ready for a re-inspection by the insurance company,so I did not have time to get bids from other companies. He said they would do it on Sat. Jan. 11, 2014 at 11am. I called at 11:30 and they said they would be there in an hour as they were running late on another job. They arrived at 12:40pm and were finished at 1:30pm. The repair passed inspection.

We have just stated, so this will be answered later on. It went very well and we are very safisfied.

They did a good job. But they lack painting service so they didn't have flashing that was painted, so my flashing sheet is in sheet metal color. They referred another contractor to do the painting, but I just let it go.

Overall we had a positive experience. When the roof was completed they had stated that they would do an inspection with my husband. We had to call two times to have they come out. Once they did come out it was discovered that there were several cracked tiles. They did come back and replace the cracked tiles. There were also some minor things that my husband request that they do over and they did do them over. Approx 4 months later the City of El Paso had their inspection and our roof did not pass inspection. To be honest I do not remember why it did not pass (it was something minor) , Escalante came out immediately to correct the problem and the CIty of El Paso passed our roof for inspection.

Overall I give them a good rating because of the persistent leaks. I give them an A for effort and perseverance. They were going to make this situation right. He gave me his word. They eventually eliminated the leak and we are happy. They paid for all internal repairs of the house...no questions asked. That was about $800. There is one day that the owner, Jose Escalante, when upstairs to my attic to find the leak. As he walked up the wooden stairs that is pulled down from my garage ceiling, he flat out broke the stairs as he began his ascent. He told me that he would pay for this. I eventually found someone to do the work and told Jose the amount. He said go ahead and move forward on this and for me to pay for it. He said that he will reimburse me. The work was done; I informed Jose and reimbursed me the full amount of $300. So I ended up getting a new ladder.

In May 2010, we decided to replace our two evaporative coolers with refrigerated air. We called out EE to come out and quote for the removal of the roof jack and re-shingle the two areas. The cost would be $600. EE was available when we needed them because the a/c units were going to be placed on the roof. EE came out and completed the job in four hours as they stated that they would. One could never tell that evaporative coolers were on the roof. Great job! What was better was that EE never came to collect the $600. I thought it was a mistake on their part but they were very prompt in collecting the check before, which reminds me of something I forgot to mention. I never had to put money up front. Everything was paid when they finished the job. Albeit it leaked later but it sure did look good!!! I think that they went even further to please me by not charging me for this job. I have talked with Jose Escalante, owner of EE, several times at stores and while he is peddling his bike around the neighborhood. He could have mentioned to me about the money that he was owed but he never did. He is a man of his word and his good nature character comes out and gives one a feeling that one has known him for years.

I will not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. I will not hesitate to use them in the future.

The total price including the amount that was covered by the insurance was $9000. I had some extra things done above and beyond my insurance coverage. They have been in the business for a long time in El Paso. They had a very good rating with the Better Business Bureau. They were very good in working with the home owner as to how to do the work. I was able to work with them. I would use them again in the future.
