Chavez Landscaping

Pablo Chavez was quick to return my initial call and set up an appointment to give us an estimate. During the estimate Pablo gave us advice on the design we wanted for the backyard and helped us modify our plan. We scheduled to have the concrete patio installed over a 4 day period. Pablo's crew showed at varying times throughout the days to complete their work and since we were not on a rigid schedule this was not a problem for us.  Everyone on Pablo's crew was polite and professional.
After the first patio section was installed the concrete cracked almost immediately. When we brought the cracks to Pablo's attention he assured us that he would repair the section that cracked. Pablo then poured the second section of the patio which also developed a crack almost immediately. Pablo then informed us that he had not had this problem in years and suspected bad quality concrete from the company he had contracted to deliver that day. Pablo assured us that he wanted us to be completely  satisfied and he would replace the concrete.
True to his word Pablo had his crew use a jack hammer and dump truck to  remove both sections of the concrete that had cracked. Pablo then used a different concrete contractor to pour the new patio. The new sections went in and set with no issues.
Overall the quality of the work is good and Chavez Construction stood behind their guarantee and replaced the cracked concrete at no additional cost to us. Pablo made  the decision to replace the concrete without us having to ask.
We will be using Chavez Construction in the future.

The trees are dying and the pond was done terribly, they used very cheap lighting. The electrical system should have been built into the pond - the filter was not built in. The electrical work for the sprinkler system was not done to code they ran a cord into the house to power it, which we later found out was not right. The irrigation system is not working due to the improper installation and the plants and trees are dying. I have called the company and he will not call me back. He was supposed to come out and apply fertilizer and he has not done that. He would not come when he was supposed to.
