Yes, I would use Charlie's Handyman service again! I needed some sheetrock repaired, painting, plumbing, and vinyl flooring installed, and Carlos was excellent in all these repairs.

He took his time. Confirmed with us if the stain was correct. He was on time and made sure everything was cleaned after he left. He is in my phone as my go-to for other handyman projects around our home.

Charlie does quality work at a reasonable price. He installed new windows and a bathroom in a house that I had in Pecos, TX. Also put a privacy fence in my backyard in El Paso. Nice guy.

1. It was unsatisfactory and failed to meet our agreed-upon contract. 2. He chose the date of completion for the Project. It was his date, and he's chosen timeline and failed to complete it at a scheduled time. 3. He misleads about his experience and the team of professionals. 4. He has young and inexperienced youngmen working for him and is unsupervised all day. 5. His team was smoking cigarettes and marijuana during the Project 6. Part of the contract was to leave a clean house end of each day; the house was trash every day. 7. I fired him and his crew from Project due to his lack of commitment to his signed contract. 8. He was never around during the project work until the end of the day. He knowingly that either myself or my partner follow up to check on work at the end of each day. 9. His an irresponsible contractor, and please remove him from your list. Never have anyone hired this company. He's a fraud... 10. The work was never completed. 11. I have to hire a new contractor to finish the work so much unfinished work from Charlies Home Improvements. (Costs Extra: 4200.00) 12. He replaced the tub with a full shower and failed to install a drip pan on the shower floor. It costs an (extra 1500.00) dollars to replace and redo the whole shower floor. 13. the water was leaking from the second floor as they shifted the water line during the main shower demolitions. It costs an (extra 800.00) dollars to reroute broken pipes. 14. Chalies Home Improvement Company is the worst company I have ever hired for a General Contractor job in the local area here in El Paso Tx 15. I Paid him a lot of money for an incompetent general contractor. A total of 18000.00 dollars for s***** work. NOTE: DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. Learn from my mistake. The first time I hired someone outside my original team's general contractor. I've been a Real Estate Investor since 2016. My first house out of 18 houses we rehabbed in the past with my loss of money...

Horrible. It’s been months since he and his team of children did work at my home and it seems like every couple of months I’m having to redo Carlos Sotelos poor work. From electrical to plumbing to the tile work you could not be more disappointed. Do not waste your time and money with this man. He takes no pride in his work. The electrical work could have caused my house to have a fire and his plumbing resulted in months of water leaking causing water damage and mold. My floors are uneven and my doors do not shut properly. I could not have been more disappointed the communication received and the ending results.

Work done was very shoddy and unsatisfactory. Front steps and deck very unsafe to walk on. Handrail installed not safe. He told me to hire someone else to complete what was contracted and agreed upon. My phone line had to be replaced by AT&T due to one of his workers cutting it. I filed a police report regarding criminal damage to property. Threshold was not completed.

He was paid in full. Started the job and stopped midway and stopped responding to our calls.

The contractor "Charlie" had his workers demolish the restroom and did a full bathroom remodel, the kitchen needed tile too, since it had carpet , so he and his team put in the tile for the kitchen. I asked if he could build a handicap ramp for my dad ( his house has a stair to get in to his front door), Charlie recommended too build a wooden ramp because it would take less time in construction and half the cost of a concrete one' Since the firsts days of construction problems started, his workers not doing their job or were a "no show", the put in the wrong tile in the restroom, the bench for the shower is pretty much an empty box covered with tile, so now the tile is separating and the bench is dangerous to sit on since there is nothing in the center to hold weight, plus the humidity that well start to go in the walls and the sides of the bench. This is suppose to be a restroom for a disable person , in this conditions this project will have to be redone so that it is safe. The tile in the kitchen is separating and popping up , from what I understand it was not level and no tile was put on under the kitchen cabinets, it seems that hole floor is like a burble about to burst. The handicap ramp is more of a obstacle course , the bottom is plywood not even sealed , it is a hazard for anyone using it since it could just collapse, injuring who every is walking on it, Charlie said he had fixed it , but he just put on a hand of paint and didn't replace the plywood for the correct wood size and material that would make the ramp safe and useful , in my Dads case for his wheel chair. I have called him dozens of times and left messages and texts but he has not respond, his first excuse was that his workers had gotten sick -Covid- and he had got sick too, then that he took a vacation ,his last excuse was his truck kept on breaking down. This project where suppose to take a week to get done, ( my dad had to stay in a a hotel for 2 weeks while this construction was in process). Its been 5 months and nothing is working properly or has been fixit. I am going to have to hire other contractor to get this mess re-done , And with that my Dad while have to spend more money , we are talking about a 78 year old Army Veteran, who is having trouble to walk and stand by his self, it is very upsetting that someone can just get paid for taking advantage of a situation like this!.

Charlie was not professional, did not know what he was doing. Left his son and other kids there everyday to do the work. He was never on the job site and the work was horrible. After he was fired, we had to redo paint, electrical work that almost caught the house on fire. To many corrections needed to be done than I can list. If he even has a license it should be revoked.

Charlie does great work for a good price. We originally hired him to frame a door and ended up asking him to do all kinds of other projects, including landscaping the backyard. If there is a mistake, he fixes it right away and wants to make sure we're happy with the result. We'll be calling him again for more projects in the future!

Charlie came out the same day and was able to provide me a quote and start right away. Excellent service and finished product.

Don't waste your money. The young man didn't know what he was doing. He didn't introduce himself. The lock doesn't work. I have to hire someone else.
