Went fantastic. Two installers came one morning and removed all the old hardware. they tested all the lines replaced what they needed to and installed all new hardware. even added some features that we had not thought about when we had our consultation.
Aside from letting me know when the bad guys are trying to get in, it lets me know if the little ones are trying to escape. Now my house is completely secure.
Its been a few months since we signed up, and the service is still great. Anytime the alarm goes off (for whatever reason) my phone almost rings immediately from the monitoring service, and they are able to tell me what is happening. Usually its the housekeeper not putting in the right code, or the kids trying to sneak out.

I was very pleased with the quality of service - from the estimate through installation. Very professional and knowledgable installers. I was pleased with how they worked with me to make sure the system met my needs to make me feel safe in my home. I appreciate that they do not overcharge for equipment. I previously had ADT in another house and found them to be much more expensive at the front end. Monthly monitoring much higher with ADT as well - $44 per month vs. $29 per month with CFI. I would highly recommend them.

It did not go well at all. They care only about money and don't know anything about customer service. I'm sure the only reason they are in business is because customers unwittingly signed those five year contracts and got stuck like me. My realtor was good friends with their salesperson and when I complained to her about her referral, she said she didn't know about the five year term.

"CFI Security is a locally owned and operated company in El Paso. We pride ourselves on customer service and take our responsibility to our customers very serious. We offer our customers discounted prices on equipment and do not charge a seperate installation charge. These fees are then recouped over the term of the agreement along with the cost to monitor the system. This is the reason for the length of the term of each agreement. We do have a 4 page contract which is why we specifically have each customer sign all 4 pages as well as initial the term paragraph of their agreement so that there is no confusion. We in no way, shape or form try to trick or make anyone unwittingly agree to anything on our agreements. We live up to our responsibilities of each and every one of our agreements. Our missions is to ensure all of our customers recieve the best service and protection we can provide!"

I was very satisfied with their quote. They did send out a salesperson to my house to look in greater detail at my house specifically. I ended up going with CFI Security because their monthly monitoring cost was the lowest I could find, and the prices of their sensors were extremely low compared to other companies. My experience with them was favorable and both the salesperson and the technician who installed the system showed up on time. My only knock on the technician is that he didn't do the greatest job of cleaning up after himself, otherwise I would have given CFI Security all A's. I was also hesitant to sign a four year commitment as well as paying upfront for the system before installation, but I did it anyway, and as far as the install was concerned, it went smoothly and so far, so good.
