Internet Service
When I originally called regarding notice to disconnect service, Century Link at previous home/city did not communicate regarding returning of equipment needed nor the time limit (previously, Suddenlink internet provider did not want equipment back at all). I did receive a final bill and paid it in full in a timely manner. AFTER moving out, then CenturyLink wanted equipment returned. (equipment In storage, cannot locate). After 6+ months, THEN told I had to pay for equipment and already sent to collections. During those months, No notices regarding equipment or its billing were sent, no calls, and nothing forwarded to me at any address.
After TWO & HALF HOURS on the phone, issues resolved and told to do a self-service set up & would be receiving a CD in mail in 10 days. On the tenth day, still no CD. I was instructed to wait until 5pm for internet service to be turned on. After 5pm on a Friday, harder to find someone to help. Also, a notice was on our front door stating we missed a Century Link service call. NO APPOINTMENT was set up with me for a service call, nothing communicated prior to their stopping by ...and I had been told if I set up such a service call it would be charge.
So, issue still unresolved when a different utility provider came by a few days later. That serviceman told me the issue was not my equipment, nor in the house. The issue was likely outside the house, Century Link should be able to fix without me being home. NO SUCH luck, explained situation and info to technical@ Century Link  who then confirmed equipment set up and configured over the phone; then set up appointment for serviceman to come out sometime in a 4 hour window ( now new appointment is 10 or 11 days after CD was supposed to arrive) and service call usually has a charge for this service; Customer service activated account on first interaction, so paying on a service that I didn't use for days !!
No billing adjustment for no service. Follow up call regarding technician appointment, agent said someone would call next day to discuss and help with billing adjustment. NO ONE called. Since you have to explain yourself to multiple C/S people, give every kind of identifying information before anyone will talk to you, on hold,  transfers...tired of wasting time on it.
The technician who came to house was very nice, helpful & pushed time of arrival to one end of appointment window to help me.
Thank you!
"Bundling" is very tricky to achieve...certain steps have to be done in a certain order, with certain people, at certain companies...games... so you pay more if don't jump through hoops correctly.
IF I had another decent option, I would try it...should have not tried bundling & transferred costly Comcast for internet.
Happy to have internet service ! !
But I hope I never have to talk to CenturyLink customer service again!

I did get disconnected on the first try but on my second call I was able to reconnect with the consultant I first spoke with. As stated above, Alan was helpful and courteous. He asked me a number of questions regarding our internet use and based on my responses gave me helpful advice. Since this was a phone inquiry there was no charge for the consultation. Professional and knowledgeable.

$115
I just changed from another provider to them so I am still debating on how the service is.  It is about $70 for the TV and the internet is about $45.  It is high speed but not the highest speed.  It is a little bit faster but not super quick.  It is not as expensive as cable internet.  They handled the installation really well.  They did knock off $5 of my direct TV bill and would continue to do that for as long as I have the bundle, so that is nice.  They gave me free Norton security on my computer.  They haven’t had to come out at all; everything has been handled over the computer.  They offer free online tech help also.  They help as much as they can, if I have a question or to determine if the computer is bad or not.
