Bedrock Landscaping & Concrete offers 3D video to provide a visual plan on what will be expected for you project.We are a Crew of 4 responsible workers that take safety as their first priority. I do not sub-contract for the reason I take full responsibility for my work and only work on my trade and not something I have no skills or knowledge on. I do give customers a typed contract to protect both parties on agreed detailed project. I do ask for a deposit pending on total amount of project and material need to begin work. First deposit may be made in a personal check and remaining payments may only be in form of cashier checks, money orders or cash. Servicing all of El Paso Areas and Santa Teresa, NM.

It shows this person is just out for some sort of Vendetta . I don’t charge for estimates, I provide free estimates. It also appears that she did not mention she received my business card from her neighbor that I completed and customer was ? satisfied. At times where the economy is at its edge people still try to do wrong to others. I did apologize for not calling for my fault on a courtesy call . I did not call the second time either due to the fact I don’t know how to lie or make excuses . Jacob Astorga AKA Ruben J. Astorga, and his 4 man "crew" are not qualified for the job he proposed for our project. He uses random/different men to work for him, different faces on different days... very inconsistent with workers and the work. He states in his Angie's list description that he "doesn't take on projects that he has no knowledge of" but yet admitted to us, after telling us in the beginning otherwise, that HE AND HIS MEN HAVE NEVER DONE THE TYPE OF WORK HE PROPOSED TO US AND THEY ARE NOT QUALIFIED to do the type of work he sold! Jacob admitted his workmanship was poor and pleaded with us not to fire him or to lose faith in him and promised to have the work fixed and finished by professionals. ITS BEEN 3 MONTHS since he started and he has not completed a single part of our project!! He no longer returns our phone calls/texts and has avoided us completely.
DON'T LET THIS MAN"S LIKEABLE PERSONALITY FOOL YOU...THIS MAN IS A CON ARTIST AND WILL GIVE YOU MANY EXCUSES AND SOB STORIES IN AN ATTEMPT FOR YOU TO TAKE PITTY ON HIM! WE PAID HIM 90% OF THE CONTRACT AND HE HAS NEVER RETURNED. WE CALLED/TEXTED HIM AND HE LIED TO US, MADE PROMISES TO CALL BACK & NEVER DID, GAVE EVERY EXCUSE IN THE BOOK, AND EVENTUALLY BLEW US OFF COMPLETELY. ADDITIONALLY, AFTER OUR EXPERIENCE WITH BEDROCK, OUR RESEARCH REVEALED JACOB ASTORGA HAS AN EXTENSIVE CRIMINAL BACKGROUND! IT WILL COST US AN ADDITIONAL $4K TO RE-DO AND FIX THE MESS HE LEFT US WITH. We have given him chance after chance to do right and complete the work. He took our hard earned money and has chosen not to honor his contractual obligation and complete the work. He has taken advantage of our kindness...BEWARE OF JACOB ASTORGA AND BEDROCK LANDSCAPING!!!
Bedrock Landscaping & Concrete provided the most innovative and artistic landscaping work l have seen in quiet a while.
I provided Jacob with a budget I wanted to stay inn "$5,500" . I explained to Jacob how and what I was going for. Jacob had genuine and creative ideas to add to my suggestions. Jacobs suggestios made everything much easier for me to comprehend the entire project.
Jacob not only explained materials but showed me plenty of samples for cultural stone and textures for my stamped concrete.
I also had the opportunity to go with Jacob to our local nursery to select my healthy shrubs and palm trees.
Jacob also suggested we acid stain our grey concrete area that came out stunning in color to contrast our entire landscape. My drip Irrigation system is the cherry topper factor to my landscape.
Impressed with his knowledge and passion of all landscaping details as well as his punctuality and professional attitude.
I must say i truly fell in love with landscaping.

The work performed:

The yard was cleared and leveled. All materials and all bushes that were removed were hauled away.
·
The yard was leveled and shaped for the work to be performed. Most of this effort being done by or supervised by Javier, the concrete and brickwork master.

Frameworks for the brick
work and sidewalk concrete work were built.
Low energy lights were added to each step for the walkway to the house. Materials for the next phase were delivered.
·
Dividers, consisting of grey block and mortar mix, were built at the sidewalk on both sides of the driveway and the walkway to the house, across the middle of the yard, in several curves, to include around a planter and again on both sides of the
driveway. Next dividers were built around all established trees in large circles about eighteen inches from the trunks. Finally a divider was built across the upper part of the yard where planters would be established.

After the dividers were built across the middle part of the yard and waiting until the next workday to allow the concrete to cure, the dirt was re-arranged to flow to the divider from higher in the yard.

Water lines were placed to connect to existing lines for existing trees and bushes and established for new bushes. Pipe was placed for low energy light cables and posts were placed for the fixtures within the area to be concreted.

Brick in large rectangular boxes between the sidewalk and street were broken up and cleared. Old bushes and weeds in six
diamond shaped areas were also cleared and prepared for concrete.

Concrete was delivered, poured, spread, leveled and stamped. The concrete was colored brick red and the stamping added a blue highlight. Concrete and stamping areas included the lower portion of the yard in all three areas, the sidewalk with two steps to the house and the large boxes between the sidewalk and street. Last the six smaller diamond shaped areas between the sidewalk and street were covered with the red concrete. All was left to cure overnight.

Bedrock facings were concreted to all the dividers and a bullnose brick topping was added to all the dividers. The divider lowest in the yard had bedrock attached to the street side and home side while all other dividers had only the one exposed side covered in facings.

After frameworks were removed, bricks were laid on both sides of the sidewalk, street to house, and both sides of the driveway.

Low energy lights were placed where desired, linked via the low energy cables and connected to low energy transformers. Upper part of the yard was covered with a thick black plastic sheeting material in preparation for the delivery of the shad to cover those areas.

Shad was delivered, placed in the street in front of the house and was quickly moved to the three areas to be covered by shad and after placement was leveled.
·
During the work the areas were continually being kept free of debris and at this point a final sweeping of the stamped concrete was accomplished, a high pressure steam cleaner was brought in to clean the stamped concrete and brick work and a final
coating of a concrete sealer was added.

All materials were cleared from the side driveway which had been used as a staging area and the project was complete.
The end result is better than expected, both my spouse and I are elated with the final results.
Prior to the work being performed, estimates were obtained from several companies and each had a different perspective as to how they would prepare and present our yard. We selected Bedrock because of the quality of the previous work performed and the promise of a final appearance. We are delighted with the results!
