The gentleman that came by, Jose, knew how to replace the ice maker and was able to do that in 30 minutes. They charged $148 for that 30 minutes of labor which I thought was quite high, especially since when I called another company and asked about labor, they said it would be $89.00 They said they gave me a 10% discount but I could not see it anywhere calculated on the invoice. I will not be using them again.

Spectacularly. The technician, Jose C., arrived promptly as promised the same day that the service was ordered. He not only found and repaired the leak he cleaned and inspected the entire appliance making adjustments where needed. He even performed preventative maintenance checks and adjustments to avoid future problems. Very fast, thorough and competent at a very fair price for such excellent prompt service. I highly recommend this service provider and this technician in particular.

Jose arrived promptly as promised! He found the problem immediately, and upon receiving approval, cleared up the situation. Additionally, he provided training to my wife and myself on ways to improve the operation and cleanliness of the dishwasher! This was a unqualified success and I will use their services again in the future.

In early November an assessment was conducted on my washing machine because it was not working properly. The service technicians did an outstanding job. Then in late November the same technician came out to do an assessment on my dryer becasue it stopped heating. The technicians could not find the problem and assumed it was a clogged vent. They did state that they would order some parts that may fix the problem. The vent has since been cleaned and the dryer is still not heating. 2 weeks later we called Ameritech to check the status on the parts the technicians said would be ordered. Unknowing to us we spoke with the owner John who was extremely rude. He answered with hello which left doubt if we had the right number becasue he never stated the business name. We found out parts were never ordered and John stated that they would have to come back out...meaning longer time without a dryer. We expressed out unhappiness and John said a note would be made. We asked to speak with a supervisor becasue we did not know we were speaking to the owner since he bever identified himself and all John would say is, "This is John." We asked, "Are you a supervisor?' and again, all he would say is, "This is John." Very, very unprofessional. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!

For the garbage disposal problem, they were very professional and courteous and the technician explained everything before he did the job. He took care of the problem. For the problem with my Frigidaire gas range it is a longer story. Two of the burners were not working. I called in the morning and a technician came out the same day at the time he said he would. When he arrived though, the burners were working. The technician literally had to do nothing. He was in my house maybe 10 minutes. He said he still had to charge me $43.00. Well I was not happy with this since he didn't do anything. I called the person in charge and told him the situation and he said yes that the $43.00 was the service fee and I pleaded my case with him. I told him he had the power to make the decision and he said that if he did that every time he went to someone's house, they wouldn't make any money. He eventually worked with me and cut the service fee in half and charged me $25.00. They are awesome and I would use them again.

The LG refrigerator was under warranty thru Assurant. The serviceman came the first time about 5/15/13. He spent more than an hour on his cell phone asking 'What do I do now? Okay, what do I do now?' He obviously had no idea what he was doing. When he left he said the computer just needed to be 're-set'. I call back several hours later, since it still was not cooling, and was told I needed to wait 24 hours. The following day, no change. I call back and was told they would order a new 'board' and it would be in in a week to 10 days. When it did come in over a week later, it was the wrong part. Another week, another part and the refrigerator still wasn't working. So far I'd been close to 3 weeks without a refrigerator, with 3 toddlers, 1 elderly and 1 handicapped person in my home. This time they were ordering a compressor. I asked them to expedite it and they refused saying it wasn't authorized. I went out and purchased a new Samsung refrigerator and the LG was finally repaired about a week later, In total I was without a refrigerator for close to a month. Had I been able to use Abbott's Appliance Service, like I usually do, I'm sure it would have been repaired in less than a week, but due to the service contract, they chose Ameri-Tech. Needless to say, I purchased the Samsung refrigerator without the extended warranty.

After discovering a flooded laundry room, we assumed a broken part or hose in our washing machine. We checked Angie's List and chose Ameri-Tech Appliance . We called, received a next day appointment, and the technician , Mike, arrived on time. He was very knowledgable about Bosch washers and gave ours a thorough testing. However, he could find no problems with the washer and no leakage occured. Obviously, the problem had been in the drain line and was temporary.
We happily paid Mike for his service call and promised to call Ameri-Tech if and when we ever have other appliance problems.

Repair guy called at appointed time, gave an estimate of when he'd arrive and he did arrive between the hours he indicated, he was gracious and helped remove items from the freezer compartment, then pulled the unit out from it's enclosure, checked the back, discovered the leak, put the unit back and divulged the 'bad' news.. he did however give us a lead on where we might find a replacement... Thank you Jose...

The dishwasher was not washing properly. We had Ameritech out to service the washer. He thought he fixed it but it still had problems. We him back out to service again , this time he said he would need to replace the motor to fix washer. We told him we would get back with him and went with someone else.

I didn't get him off Angie's List. I have been using his services for sometime. He charged me $65 to install the gas stove. I recommended him to my friends, and everyone likes him. We know him by his first name. I would use him again in the future.
