At first, everything was great! the men started work, they worked quickly and are very nice men. Then the problems started with the owner, Joe Villa. He starting using lame excuses that permits were taking longer than expected, and that there were hold ups because of that. In the mean time he continued to collect payments. I checked the website for the city and the permits were actually issued a month before he returned to work. He worked for a day and then took off again, never to return but only to call trying to get more money. He's not a very good man, and I later found out that he has spend some time in prison for VERY serious charges. Would go after him in court, but he's not worth my time. The money lost (because he did collect more than what he had done) is a small price to pay to never see him again. The guys that work for him are great, but dealing with him is not worth it. He doesn't pay them enough money for what they do, and just uses people constantly. I wish I could hire the workers without him. Don't let his smooth talking fool you.
Description of Work: Gutting the building, getting permits from the city, re-framing and rebuilding.
