Brought the vehicle in on Monday morning, it was diagnosed immediately and 2 hours later I had a quote. The quote included $460 for parts, but I was able to find the parts for $150 less right down the street. I told the service person about the cheaper parts and they agreed to install the ones I bought. They changed the quote to reflect labor only and because of my trouble (picking up the parts) I asked them to take some off the labor price, which they did. The service was completed within 24 hours and we've been driving it for a week now. Seems to be working fine. One thing that chapped me is that there is a huge "NAPA auto parts" sign on the front of the building. I got my parts from NAPA at a considerable savings and asked the owner about the sign, he said he never does business with NAPA. To which, I said it was pretty disingenuous to keep the 4' x 8' NAPA sign above his door.
