Troy of A Precision Clock Repair is not the only game in town, but he acts like it. He is smug and accusatory. Nothing is his fault and he will give every excuse in the book. He will not take responsibility for his work, and I’m sure he will assign the blame to me when he responds to this review. He will also dispute that when he returned my clock he said: “You shouldn’t have any more trouble with your clock”. It failed within 3 months of an expensive repair. I paid the service fee for him to come back. Now he says my clock is unrepairable and he would replace the mechanism at a “discount”. In his defense, he will say that he gave me the option to repair the mechanism. When he returned he showed me a piece of paper on which he had scribbled a cost comparison. He admitted that he had not given me those numbers before and then said: “You care a lot about money, don’t you?” I felt insulted at this rude comment – and by his attitude. I have found another clock repair specialist who will stand by his work and who has provided clear options and costs. I know that Troy will spin his response to this review and turn the tables to make it look like it is my fault that my clock is still broken. However regardless of all that, I am stunned by his unprofessional manner.

I take pride in my work and the Google, yelp, yellow page & birds eye reviews reflect the true nature of my practice and demeanor after 35 years of being in business. You were given the opportunity to purchase a new movement at my cost and you refused, stating and I quote, "I could buy a whole new clock for that price" I didn't know what else I could do to satisfy you."

This guy is a rip off He charged me well over $700.00 to not fix my clock or offer any guarantee of his work. He cleaned me and my clock. Don't use him. If you don't pay his excessive pricing which is not given up front you probably won't get your clock back as he withholds property for payment without offering an opportunity to inspect his work. He then threatens and dismisses all complaints as if you broke your own clock and want to simply blame him. I got my clock fixed by another service for less than a hundred dollars. Lillian Elsey

"Mrs. Elsey, you authorized the charge to rebuild your clock prior to anything being done. Half a deposit was collected upfront and you were not overcharged. I pulled your clock 3 times because you said it didn't work; brought it back and tested it and I couldn't find anything wrong. Doubled his price and only partially repaired clock. He did not even put it back together correctly. Of course this wasn't discovered until after he left with full payment, and he offered NO guarantee or warranty.
