John Z Glass

An estimate to replace all windows in house (only 8) with various size Energy Star glass windows and to replace rear sliding door with a french door was obtained on 11-20-10 and downpayment of $1,100 was made at that time to order windows and doors.  Work began, as scheduled, on 01-04-11 and windows and door were removed and new ones installed in 2 days.  Minor touch-ups still needed to be made, including the bottom sweep on one side of the french door and burglar bars to be re-attached.  John was supposed to return the following week and finish the job.  He did not, getting busy with a large school job in Eagle Pass and never returning despite repeated promises from him with multiple no-shows.  John finally returned and put the burglar bars back on in May 2011, but did not complete the rear french door.  Work was finally completed on 06-24-11, six months after it began.  John is a very nice, personable person, an excellent craftsman and does very nice work.  His prices are fantastic and what work he does is very well done.  I would use John again for future projects, such as a replacement of the front entry doors and some tile floor work, but only if he gets a better handle on his response times and can manage his projects better so they are completed in a timely fashion.  I have recommended him to neighbors and co-workers because of his prices and the work he does with the caveat that it may take longer than anticipated to get the job done.
