Well, he showed up with a grey door (Dented, I later noticed). We had agreed upon white. When I asked him if it could be painted white, he replied You can paint it any color you like. He then proceeded to install the door, taking a half hour break in our bathroom. He used black tack nails on white moulding, and did a mediocre job of cleaning up. The only thing he did to my satisfaction was hang the door correctly, I hope.

"The customer requested that we provide a steel, pre-hung door unit-- the sort of door that Home Depot or Lowes stocks regularly. We did this. These doors are pre-primed in an off-white color, maybe light gray? We never discussed ordering a door that had been pre-painted white. We do not offer painting services. We also picked up the door at Depot for the customer. We used standard finish nails from a Paslode nail gun on trim installation as per usual. We completed the job in 3&1/2 hours which is average. We charged $455 for the door unit and the labor to install. I think perhaps that the customer was a little confused about our clean up efforts as the house itself was filthy when we arrived."
