Cedar Hill Garage Door

We have used this business in the past and overall had been happy
with them until today. A number of years previously they replaced our broken garage
door with a new unit. Our opener was still in good condition so they didn't
replace the unit. Installation was very good and I've been pleased overall. May
19, 2015 they came out to adjust what I had explained to the service technician
3 things I was having an issue with. #1 Door was closing hard sometimes and
sometimes not  #2 door was not closing all the way down with about an inch
gap remaining #3 the drive chain had quite a bit of slack in it and was
visible.
He adjusted only the chain and started writing the receipt and
seemed a little eager to leave. I wrote him a check for the service. As I went
back in the house and closed the door I could see the gap still under the door
as it was not closing completely. At this time the repairman was already
driving away down the alley. I work nights and needed to leave for work so I
didn't call him immediately as I guess I should have. So the next day I called
to tell them it was still not closing all the way and needed them to come back
out and repair it correctly. I stated also that I did not expect to pay for an
additional service call as I feel the job was not fixed properly and completely
the first time they came out.
I had an appointment scheduled with them to come out on 5/20/2015
they called me and were running behind schedule and I once again needed to
leave for work so I rescheduled for today 5/21/2015. They told me they would be
there between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm they arrived at 2:57 pm.
As the repairman got out of the vehicle I said hello and he immediately said, ?I
adjusted the door for you the other day?, I replied maybe so but it still was
not closing all the way. He said well you?re getting a free service call. I
could sense the guy was irritated at me. He got on his ladder and adjusted the
opener so that it was closing completely but it was still closing hard and not
sounding as quiet as it should. He sprayed some lube around the jamb of the door
opening and closed it again. It was closing loudly but it was closing
completely now. He said to me, ?when I came out the first time all you
complained about was the loose chain?. I replied no I mentioned 3 issues I was
having that needed repair. This seemed to irritate him further and he headed
for the truck. As he was getting in he stated something about my torsion bar
was probably broken and got in the truck and drove away. I will also mention within the past 12 months they also replaced a broken spring on the door and that seemed to work as needed until this recent problem cropped up.
My thoughts are the job needed to be done correctly the first time and maybe the serviceman needs to listen to the customer a little better. If I continue to have issues with the door I will give my business to someone else. 

The people were very nice but I believe they were concealing the answer to my questions that I was asking. I asked for a quote on one product and I said I was very adamant that I wanted a specific thickness of the garage door and I was told that the product was of that thickness but it was not the same product. When I called the manufacturer to find out whether that was indeed the thickness that I wanted, they said no. That product part number is not what you want so I felt like I was being mislead.

Excellent service

I called on Monday around 11:30. Took my information, quoted me a price for fixing springs, said would be able to fix today. Said would call back shortly with a time, called back in about 15 min. Said someone would be out within the hour. Repairman was at my door within the hour. Repair took about 30 minutes. No problems, quick service, good experience. Have used this company before to install garage door opener. Will use them again.

On 12/7/2005, a very, very cold morning, my garage door opener would not completely raise my door. I called Cedar Hill Garage Door Service and they sent a technician within two hours. He lubricated the moving parts, inspected the door and opener unit, and advised me to invest in a can of garage door lubricant.

Technician arrived during the timeframe stated and immediately set to work. He worked quickly and explained to me what the cause of the problem was and what I could do to avoid it. Price was very reasonable for work done.

STEVE WAS PROMPT IN SETTING AN APPOINTMENT, ON TIME, VERY NICE, PROFESSIONAL AND REASONABLE. HE EVEN DID SOME EXTRA WORK ON MY GARAGE DOOR, MORE THAN REPLACING THE CABLE.
