I purchaced the Angie's List $79.00 deal for drain cleaning and a camera inspection.  The plumber was on time, efficient, and professional.  The only problem I had was afterwards when he was tried to sell us some work he said needs to be done.  He said we need 40 feet of pipe replaced under our slab foundation, and the cost was $20,000.00!  No way could we afford that! The only alternative he offered was to "jet" the pipe for around $436.  Again, we declined.  Things are flowing fine right now, so we won't be doing either option anytime soon.

At first we thought we had a leak only on the hot water side, but soon found out there was a leak on the cold water side as well. They showed up on time, were very professional and did great quality work.

They were wonderful and very professional. No problems at all. They are very personable people.

My experience with them was excellent. They did good work. They are reasonable, prompt, and on-time. They are the only plumber I use.

The plumber was extremely nice and courteous, explaining the process and the amount due before he started the service. I had a coupon which helped decrease the price by $49

I called to have our kitchen sink unstopped, the plumber was on time, friendly and professional. He want up on the roof and put a line down the roof access vent. We have used Benjamin Franklin Plumbing in the past and were very glad to find them on Angie's list, we have always been pleased with the service.

This call was in response to the old water heater leaking into the house and flooding some rooms. The service tech was prompt and very effecient. He replaced the heater and gave me options for how to provent the flooding in the future. I opted to just add the draining pan rather than drilling a hole through the wall and brick to vent the possible leak  to the outside. I'm sure I could have had the work done for less, however, I believe the quality of work and the time saved was worth it.

They were good. I paid more than the "Big Deal" because they additional work. They did a good job.

Plumber supervisor came out to test our sewer line under our home to check for leaks. He was unable to test due to not enough clean outs entries in the line. He ran a camera and told my wife that the sewer line was sagging. He gave her an estimate to replace the whole line from our home to the main sewer line which we later found out it wasn't necessary. In fact a city plumbing inspector told us all sewer lines sag a bit with age and as long as they aren't filling up with water it's ok normally. We asked the plumber to come out and explain to another plumber what his findings were because the second plumber did not find the problems he told us we had. When he showed up I asked him to explain and it was obvious he did not have good enough answers to explain his exorbitant quote for the work. I asked him to leave and not to come back. I felt he was trying to pull a fast one on me. In fact what we were trying to accomplish by getting the sewer line test had nothing to do with his bid which involved work from our home to the street. The goal was to find out if there may be a sewer leak under our home. I wonder if he works on commission?

They were good. They are pricey but they did a good job. They came out, they were on time, they do the job and they clean up after themselves.

I have suggested them to several people and my neighbors used them and were very pleased.  They showed up on time. They were so nice and cleaned up the mess. 

The value was supposed to be $39.00 but the end bill was $495.00. They replaced a garbage disposal and rearranged the pipes. I was over charged. I looked online, and the parts were much cheaper than they told me. They made me use their equipment because they would not warranty the work.

They didn't try to up-sell me or use high pressure, but they educated us about our options as far as the warranties and environmentally friendliness of the products.  The installation was beautifully done.  They worked well with the city inspectors during the installation.  I highly recommend them.  I will use them on more plumbing projects.

They were uniformed. They did a good job and they were very polite. They cleaned up after themselves nicely. They were on time. We had a very good impression of the company. They were a little expensive.

The plumbers here maintain the same thing. They come out and there is a fee for them to come out and look at it like $49. However, you wouldn’t call them unless there is a problem. They did two things for me out of which one was okay. The other one came out and said that there is a fee which is about $49. They also said that it would take a couple of hours to search out the problem, which is going to be couple of hundred dollars. They said that I don’t have to pay the fee since it would be excluded or included. Then the plumber proceeded to disassemble the copper pipes, took it apart, did new pipes and put it all back together. The real problem was that we never successfully drained the line because I didn’t realize that you really have to drain the water even coming into the house. When we had the addition built, the plumber never sealed it. That’s the reason it was beginning to leak. He was all finished in an hour and that cost me a couple of hundred bucks because it was way over estimated and I agreed to it. They didn’t do it by the time they actually said they would do. So, he got a lot more money than he really needed to get. Benjamin Franklin Plumbing advertises saying that if they are 5 minutes late, then we don’t have to pay, which is just a gimmick. It’s not just Benjamin Franklin, but it’s the others as well. They have the gimmick where they come out and if you don’t pay the fee for the service call, then you are challenged to have the work done before they walk out. In the long run, when you add up the total, you realize that you have really paid too much. They all play the same game. I can’t complain about the work Benjamin Franklin Plumbing actually did. I just complain about the short hour and a half that the plumber was here and in my estimation the couple of hundred dollars that was charged was over the top. That was 6 or 7 years ago as well. They were here certainly on time and were responsive.
