Faucet had rusted through and was hard to remove.  Large double sink and tight quarters underneath made it a difficult job for my usual DIY.  Richard and Sonny got it done even coming back to finish the job when the replacement faucet I bought didn't fit.  I've used him before on a lot of jobs, big and small.  We will certainly call him again.  Note - Richard does do triage.  It's not always first come, first serve.  If somebody has an emergency (think leaking water heater, dangerous electrical, etc.) a minor problem elsewhere may get bumped.  I have no problem with that.  If you have a narrow time frame though, let him know upfront.

It involved a lot of subcontracting work.  They had the knowledge and experience to do the work.  The thing I liked least was some of the painting they did could have been more professional.  I told them what I wanted and they told me what was worth doing and how much it would cost.  They were pretty helpful.

We were getting our house ready to put on the market, fixing 10 years of wear & tear. Richard Walker, his son & someone who was very good with windows did the work in about 1 week. It was apparent that Walker contracting had a wealth of knowledge & experience. At the end, the work improved the appearance of the house 100%. Mr Walker discussed all aspects of the work, advising where could save money & where should spend money, consulting almost daily to ensure we were on the same page. After the work was done I had the house inspected & came up with a few more items that needed to be addressed to bring house to code. For these items (phase 2) he met or exceed code. Where Walker Contracting exceed my expectations was on the water heater. The water heater developed a leak related to its age but was under warranty. Mr Walker spent well over 4 hours to make sure the water heater was replaced although both a big box store & water heater manufacturer insisted it was not their problem-his advocacy resulted in a new, cost free water heater. Mr Walker could easily have kicked the problem back to me to resolve, although as a disabled vet draining and moving the water heater would have been impossible for me. The cost for all this work was a bit below what I expected, I could easily have seen paying more for this quality of work. I would work with guys again in a heartbeat & recommend their services.
