**PLEASE BE AWARE** You WILL be charged a minimum of $145 ($155 after tax) for ANY visit from Lanco Plumbing, regardless of what is done. Need a quote? That'll be $145 whether or not you use them for the actual work -- and they demand payment before they leave. We expected a service call fee of somewhere between $50 - $75 that would be applied towards the labor if we used them, but certainly not $145 for simply providing an estimate/quote. Please note that this initial payment is, in fact, NOT applied towards any future work that results from that estimate/quote. It is their hourly labor rate that is charged to you regardless of the fact that NO labor is being done at that time and they will NOT tell you this up front unless you ask specifically. This is NOT standard and gives trade/services companies a bad reputation. This being said, the service technician that came out (Cody) was very polite, courteous and competent. Only reason for 2 stars instead of 1.

I’ve used this company multiple times, and the experience has gone from disappointing to downright frustrating. In October 2024, I called LANCO about a malfunctioning tub faucet. After asking me what hardware I had and what the issue was, they came out—only to say they didn’t have the necessary $20 spring part. I was still charged a service fee for that visit. They returned later to install the spring and charged another service fee. Fast forward seven months—same issue again. We attempted a minor fix ourselves, but the spring came off again. LANCO sent another plumber who claimed the issue wasn’t under warranty because we had tried to fix it ourselves. We didn’t agree but paid yet another service fee and spring replacement. Unfortunately, we didn’t check the work immediately. By that evening, it was clear the problem wasn’t fixed. LANCO then told us we needed a full valve replacement ($175) and quoted two hours for the job. We agreed, though we were frustrated about having just paid for work that clearly wasn’t done right. The replacement ended up taking three hours, plus multiple additional parts that weren’t mentioned in the initial quote. Of course, we paid it—again. The worst part? Each time, they send a different plumber, and they often criticize the previous one’s work. There’s no consistency, no accountability, and little professionalism. The company clearly operates as a dispatch service—sending whoever is available and taking a cut of the fee, while the customer is left paying for their disorganization and inexperience. LANCO is disorganized, unprofessional, and seems more interested in racking up service fees than actually solving plumbing problems. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration. I would never use them again.

I have used this company in the past. This time the work was done in 45 mins but we were charged an additional 30 mins (a total of 1.25 hours) and told it was travel time. When we called the office later they said they don't charge travel time unless in unusual situations. Of course they never offered to refund the extra time.

Great! John fixed both of the issues quickly. He replaced the pipe in the attic and cleared out the other. He was very honest, which I truly appreciated, and was very knowledgeable. The price was fair and I would recommend Lanco Plumbing to anyone needing plumbing services. I have used them over the years and am always pleased with their work.

I was pleased with the overall experience. I asked a lot of questions about the toilets they were going to install because we needed toilets to be tall enough for ADA requirements. They were patient in answering all questions. The install went well also. No surprises. I would likely hire them again.

We have always been very satisfied with Lanco. We were not disappointed. They showed up on time, replaced the old hot water heater and brought the installation up to League City code and did it all quickly. We highly recommend Lanco. A few years ago we had them re-plumb our entire house. They did such a good job at a reasonable price that we decided to always use Lanco.

I had an appointment setup but they were able to come a few days earlier since they finished a job in my area quicker than expected. They called to make sure this was OK with me. The job was done quickly and professionally. Wes explained what they had to do and why. After the job was done, he gave me some additional useful information. They emailed me my receipt. I'd hire them again.

I called first thing in the morning and spoke with Irene who scheduled me for an afternoon appointment. She called me within the time frame she had given me-actually on the early side of the frame- to let me know there was a plumber on his way. A young man named John came to the house and fixed the leaking shower head efficiently, explaining to me why it happened and what he was going to do. After the work was done, he went over with me what I could do to try to avoid the problem recurring. Both he and Irene were pleasant and professional. Although we have had Lanco as 'our' family plumber, I have not had to call them in over two years but they still provide the same personal services they always have.
