We had a 10-year parts and labor warranty on it. Still, it cost us another $2600 to replace the evaporator coil. When we got knowledgeable guys out here, they were okay. But, they tend to send out inexperienced people first. The first guy that came out didn't find the problem but he was glad to sell us three pounds of Freon and charge us $350 for it. He just didn't have the knowledge to find out that it was an evaporator coil. When we had the plumbing work done it was $2000 for two toilets. I could have gotten to Home Depot and gotten the whole thing done for half that price. While they were here and our toilets were down it was kind of hard to say, "No."

I'm almost certain that I've already provided an article about this job. John Moore Construction remodeled two of my bathrooms by replacing the carpeted floor, yes, that's right, carpeted floor, with a ceramic tile floor in both of my upstairs bathrooms. In one of the bathrooms, a new porcelain bathtub and ceramic tile tub surround was also installed. I had gotten two other estimates from Home Depot and someone else, but John Moore Construction was much more reasonable in pricing. The also offered to finance the work which helped me enormously.
All of the people who worked on this job did good work. Each technician, from the tile layer to the plumber, took his job seriously. They showed up to work on time and left their work space clean and neat. In spite of the inconvenience of having to cut all the tile used outside in the back yard, the tile layer worked without complaint. The plumber also did a good job of removing the toilets and then replacing them after the floor was completed. The plumber also installed new faucets and spouts in each bathroom for the tubs.
I didn't use the tile which John Moore Construction had in its inventory because I preferred another type of tile I'd found at Home Depot which looked like marble. I purchased this tile from Home Depot, and John Moore Construction installed it without complaint even though it was supplied by Home Depot.
The finished bathrooms are very nice, and the tile floors are a massive improvement over the awful carpet treatment that Perry Homes had installed in my home back in 1997 when I purchased the house. Why Perry Homes could ever have decided to use carpet in the bathrooms of its houses, I cannot fathom. Perry Homes doesn't put carpet in bathrooms now, and it may be because it is against code. I wish that had been the code in 1997. It would have saved me a lot of money.

It was an excellent experience. The work was really good. I have showed it off and they all agree that the work is just excellent.
