Ted is the biggest Con Artist Crook ever. Charged my Insurance company 23K Total. Ted Charged $9500.00 just to install the rusted Engine. His Labor is $110.00 so it took him 86 hours to install engine?! The engine was a worn out rusted engine that blew up in 3 hours of use. He said engine was ready and was paid. 4 months later I was still waiting for the Boat then after 3 hour blow up help my Boat hostage said the engine that blew was my fault for taking on a Large Wave....Large Wave in Taylor Lake? After Insurance Company installed a 2nd Engine he quickly pulled the Rusted Engine and held boat hostage. He said we give him 5000.00. For pulling engine of let home install a 2nd engine....So he could do the same thing. After a nightmare I got my boat back for a real Mechanic go install. Ted kept my Boat for over a solid Year. Originally 1 month earlier before the boat sank and how I originally met him he charged me 750 to replace trim cable. I thought is was ok repair BUT After I got the boat black I found out from other REAL Mechanic the Trim cable was the original cable just lubed very good and was needing replacement. I you use this clown then good luck. He smiles act like your friend but My X who is in the law business found court records he changed his name from IQ Boats to Matrix Boats from loosing a law suit from something similar. Geico insurance Adjuster knew him and pulled me to the side and said get your boat and RUN he is crook.

First... have to say that the guy is really good at fixing boat engines. That's his forte and he does that well. He did what we asked him to do as far as getting our SeaRay inboard/outboard boat engine up and running after being in storage for several years. We also asked him to clean the boat and trailer up. That wasn't done very well. We asked that he repair the lighting on the trailer, and that was completed as asked.
I have to say that his location is not the location on this site or on his website. It's not far away so we had to have several phone conversations with him to actually get our boat there. His location of business looks much like a junkyard for boats with a few cars mixed in. It's not like taking your boat to a marine shop where you purchase boats at where everything is clean and business like. But then the price is much lower so I figured I could look past that. Another issue is that he is difficult to make a time for meeting with as his hours aren't regular and you can't get into his place without the gate being unlocked. He takes cash only for payment because he's leary of checks bouncing and he isn't set up for credit cards. And, he took his time fixing our boat. We had to call him several times to request when the boat was going to be ready.
When we finished our business with him, we left with the boat on a trailer that he told us that we should look into getting a new trailer. We ended up having a tire that blew up on the road. He didn't point this issue out though this is really our problem since the boat and trailer sat in storage for several years without being used. I can't really blame him for something he kinda washed his hands of. Engines are his thing, not trailers.
If you are looking to get your boat engine taken care of with a reasonable price and you are in the Seabrook area, I would suggest using him. However, just know the issues I noted above and go in with eyes wide open.

$58 and a new regulator/power pack later we were back on the water. Everything went exactly like you said it would! I can't thank you enough for your time and kindness! 

I love that ted (owner) makes the service calls. It's very convenient that he came to me. It's just one less hassle for me. He works quickly and was very professional. I had trouble with the electric tilt on the motor again while on the water and on Sunday and was able to call him. I figured out a way around my problem before he called back but the point is that he returned my call and was going to help me out on the weekend. I highly recommend this service. The only critique is that business is busy this time of year so getting a hold of him and setting up an appointment was challenging. I will be using him in the future.
