Our company has been in business for the last 10 years. We employ 7 full time employees and 6 seasonal employees. All the work is done by the company employees and no work is ever sub contracted. Our estimates are always free of charge and we offer a one year guarantee on all our installation items. We specialize in all aspects of landscaping and irrigation and have references upon request. Our services are offered to both commercial and residential customers. We have never had any complaints and continue to be accident free. Our employees are all legal and very well trained to perform their everyday tasks. They are very trusted employees who have been with the company from the start. The main problem was the garden contractor we used to coordinate everything in Pleasanton called Virginia Twins Garden Center. They didn't know that a city permit was required for home irrigation systems when I initially asked before all work was started. About a year previous to the work, we had the City of Plesanton install a separate irrigation conncection for an irrigation meter which was to be installed when the irrigation system was ready. She was informed of this approximately 2 months before meter installation as we were waiting on the grass to be ready before anything was started.
She never called the city to arrange an installation of the meter, so work was stopped until I called the city myself and took care of that problem after they told her there were no meters available and the city didn't know when they would have any available. Arg.. Virginia Twins is very unprofessional and one of the owners (Catie) that I dealt with was defensive, making excuses, passed the buck to Hugo the irrigation company and never took responsibility as the general contractor. Our money spent on her was wasted since we had to make all contacts with the suppliers and sub-contractors. I would definitely hire all subs directly without going through the angst of using Virginia Twins Garden Center. The subs made the project worthwhile..
