We started going to VCA Desoto Animal Hospital almost a year ago for our newly adopted puppy, and then brought in our rescued 8 year old dog. The vets and staff were wonderful always being so warm and caring. The vet techs were all so wonderful and the vets themselves were so knowledgeable and patient with all our new puppy questions on the breed which was new to me...(little dogs) They did a great job with our baby when we had her spayed and as always great with answering all our questions.
Last month I had to bring my 18 year old kitty in who was drastically losing weight even though he was eating, when I called up to bring him in as soon as possible, they scheduled me right away. Knowing that I would probably have to put my cat down, I was a wreck, but wanted to make sure that there was nothing more I could do. I know there are some vets that would suggest that I spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars trying to extend my kitty's life. They provided many options and tests to run, but I did not want to put my 'lil boy' through more pain just for me to have him a little bit longer and asked if that is what I would probably end up doing. They gave me plenty of time, assisted with my decision, provided information on having him cremated, and gave me all the time I needed before coming in to put him asleep.
Even though this was the hardest thing for me to do, it is just as hard now to write this post/review, but the staff of VCA need to know how grateful I am for their kindness and since sympathy, understanding how difficult it is to lose a pet that is more than a pet but a family member. I am so glad we chose this animal hospital as they truly are wonderful people!
I use them for all of my dogs shots, meds, check ups, and food for the Westie that is diabetic. I also use them for grooming and will be using them for boarding as well..
