A-1 Lawn Maintenance

A-1 provides excellent service. The crew is quick and efficient. Service is performed as scheduled. Office staff always returns calls. Have used A-1 for years.

The first time they were here this year they mowed/week wacked over 4 crepe myrtles.  These plants stood approximately 30-40 inches tall and had just started getting their leaves.  They are second year plants.  When I supplied pictures of the mowed over plants the owner relayed through his secretary that it was my fault because I didn't place edging around them and they were not going to be responsible for their folks mowing over plants.  I had this same problem with them last year and they did replace the plants but this year they did not.  This is just carelessness on part of the mowers and to not hold your staff accountable is not good business.  Mr. Odger has never contacted me to discuss this problem.

As stated, I have used them for several years now and found that they do a good job.  The rate has gone up slightly over the years from when I first began using them and they also add gas surcharges ($5.00/month).  I suppose the higher rates and gas prices rising is not something they have much control over since they are trying to run a business.  In all the years I've used them, I have never had them miss a scheduled appointment.  If it rains, they put you on the next day schedule.  If you like to know that your yard will be done every two weeks without worrying about it or having to call them, then A-1 is your service.  I rarely have any contact with them in person or via phone unless I want them to do something extra. 

I think their price is good. I've had some issues with them off and on. They used their mower and totally ripped up my lawn, it was really bad. When they make turns the tires would spin and the grass comes out of the ground. I had to reseed the whole area. I called and they never came and looked at it or anything. The only thing now is they will use a push mower instead of a motorized mower and I have to pay $20 for that. It didn't just happen once, it happened several times. I called the owner and told them about it. To me that was a probem that he never really contacted me personally or even said he was sorry, nothing. It was really bad, I wanted to cry when I saw it. Now that they are using a push mower I haven't had any problems with them. Their people are okay for the most part, but occasionally they over look the weed whipping. One time they will get it all and the next time they will miss a strip and I don't know why. I am waiting for someone the tell me about another good company to switch. I think their price is excellent, but I pretty much felt like they wrecked my lawn and never got an apology from the owner. They only sent me a letter saying I would have to pay $20 more for the push mower service.

Called at 900am Friday Morning, Got Estimate within 30 minutes, 3 Men Mowed, trimmed, Edged and blew sidewalks and driveway and were done by 10:30 am same day. Excellent service and Job done well.

Only had one problem and that was when they mowed my lawn when it was wet with a riding lawn mower and left horrible tracks in the grass for a few weeks. I reported it and they haven't done it again. Other than that they are very reliable, my dogs like them and that makes me think they are honest folks. Would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Everything went fine. I have never met them as I paid with credit card and was billed.

They are very courteous. $60 a month.

This company is excellent. Blake is always willing to work with us when we have special requests, and is very professional in dealing with his customers. I would recommend him and his company to anyone within his service area.
