Title Resources

Title Resources did a great job with our closing, despite an overflow of business. They worked overtime so that our closing could happen on time. I would use them again.

Our Builder uses this company regularly, so we went with them to close on a custom home. When we closed with the Builder, they provided nothing to brag about, but nothing to complain about. HOWEVER, when we went to switch our loan from construction to permanent, I was very disappointed. We were on a hard time table. My husband travels for a living and we absolutely had to close mid week, before he left. Granted, VA loans create a painful govermnent red tape process and my Lender was running late with papers. Rescource Title had a and quot;POLICYand quot; that papers had to be received by noon to close the next day. I asked them to wave that strict time line due to our hardship, and they refused. My lender called and asked for just a FEW HOURS waver on that strict time line, and again they said, and quot;NO EXCEPTIONS.and quot;
Title companies are the last link in the chain of a long process. It's not their fault, but due to that position, they need to be flexible and work for the customer to get the loan closed. They are in a customer service industry and totally failed to display any effort to make our situation work, in fact, they showed no interest in earning my business at all. Once I was no longer under my Builder, they took for granted that they had my contract. It was noon and I didn't have lenders paperwork, which meant I had to wait 48 hours to close. I pulled my entire file and took it to Freedom Title in Flower Mound, who did in 48 hours, what Resource Title couldn't do in a month. Freedom Title wanted my business, they earned my businees, and they got it. I am a Realtor, and know that flexibilty can save the deal. You will NOT get that with Resource Title! NEVER will I use Resourse Tilte, and I will steer any client far from them. I am Totally and Utterly disappointed in their smug attitude that they flat out refuse to give, even an inch, for the benefit of the client. In 16 years as a Realtor, NEVER have I seen a Title Company fail so miserably to care about thier client's needs. I'm gone, and I hope anyone that reads this is too!

AA+ I've done several closings with Kim Garite. This was by far the most challenging. We had three properties under contract with a Seller that was challenging just about every way he could be. Two fell out of contract because he had built substantially over the restricted building lines. The duplex stayed under contract but we had to push closing back about five times because the Seller wasn't ready or for the last week, didn't have the funds to close.
Through all of it, Kim maintained a positive attitude, remained very responsive, helpful and professional. I can't think of any one better to work with than Kim Garite! She is top notch!

Kim Garite is excellent. I think this may be the 6th closing I've done with her in the last year. She is very professional, responsive and easy to work with and she treats her repeat customers very well. This was the first closing where I was the Seller and the Buyer had problems with his first lender. Kim remained calm even though they had incurred some expense if the deal fell through. She kept me informed and was cautious about spending any money that I had to commit to complete the sale. In the last case, they did the whole deal while holding no escrow. This being a private sale, I kept all the tenant's credits and deposits until closing. Give Kim and Title Resources a try. I'm sure you will have a top notch experience.

I think this is the fourth time I've done a closing with Kim Garite @ Title Resources this year.
Kim is very knowledgeable and professional. She provides a great service at a great price.
Buying real estate can be a stressful experience. I've bought three properties and refinanced my residence this year and have used Kim every time I could. There was one seller that insisted on their title company which can happen when the Seller is a bank or corporation.
Kim is always cheerful, helpful and responsive. There are often times you need to know something fairly quickly in a real estate transaction such as is a seller provided survey acceptable because if it isn't you have to negotiate on who will pay several hundred dollars for a new one. When I have a question like that, I can forward the survey to Kim and get q quick answer back that may help me with the overall deal negotiation.
On this last deal, the bank forgot to sing the cashier's check and we didn't figure that out until an hour after Closing. Kim didn't panic and stayed professional and calm, even though it was a Friday afternoon. She, I and the bank talked this Monday morning and since they are about a mile apart, Kim offered to send someone down to get the cashier's check endorsed, saving me a 30 minute drive each way.

I've worked with Kim Garite on several closings at Title Resources. I think this was the third transaction she helped me with. It was for the refinance of our primary residence.
Kim is always responsive and helpful. Usually she responds to e-mails within an hour or two, often less during business hours. She also returns phone calls promptly but I have found e-mail very effective with her and since she may be in closings half the time, I usually e-mail vs. call. She has also given me a great deal on fees as a repeat customer. She is always pleasant and easy to work with. I'm doing several real estate transactions this year and I use Kim every time I can.
The people she works with are very pleasant as well and it is a very nice facility.
