It turns out the motherboard of the laptop had to be replaced. I explained to the shop the details and documents I needed since I would be filing a claim under my credit card's extended warranty plan. They were very courteous and professional in providing me what I needed. They kept me up to date by email on the status of the repairs. Once the issue was identified, they called me to explain the issue and answer my questions. The repair took about a week and a 1/2 since they had to order a new motherboard.
The technician answered all of my questions. He was very friendly and helpful. As I was checking out, they helped me with a quick Windows 10 question/issue I had. They had great customer service.
Based on my first time experience with Geek on Wheels, I would recommend them. They are up in Denton, so it might be a bit of a drive for most DFW folks, but if you're looking for a good computer repair shop that seems to offer reasonable priced repairs, that are completed efficiently, and are completed at their own shop, I would recommend Geek on Wheels.

this is my first time using these folks and i was satisfied completely. I found them on Angies List.
Right from the office personnel to the tech, to the general manager.
I had one question / concern about the video card they installed because i did not think it was the one that would meet my needs.
The GM of the store called me on a Sunday (impressive) and was very helpful. Turned out that the card they gave me was 100% perfect. I just failed to look closely (my bad). The GM was polite, and more patient with me then perhaps i deserved.
anyway, i give Geek on Wheels an A+ in all regards. I will call them again if i have any computer needs.
