I have a year and 1/2 old Lenovo laptop that suddenly would not boot up. Based on the good reviews I've read on Geek on Wheels, I took it to them to be repaired. I've had bad experience with the big box stores doing repairs on electronics and I wanted a place that does the repairs onsite at their own shop.
It turns out the motherboard of the laptop had to be replaced. I explained to the shop the details and documents I needed since I would be filing a claim under my credit card's extended warranty plan. They were very courteous and professional in providing me what I needed. They kept me up to date by email on the status of the repairs. Once the issue was identified, they called me to explain the issue and answer my questions. The repair took about a week and a 1/2 since they had to order a new motherboard.
The technician answered all of my questions. He was very friendly and helpful. As I was checking out, they helped me with a quick Windows 10 question/issue I had. They had great customer service.
Based on my first time experience with Geek on Wheels, I would recommend them. They are up in Denton, so it might be a bit of a drive for most DFW folks, but if you're looking for a good computer repair shop that seems to offer reasonable priced repairs, that are completed efficiently, and are completed at their own shop, I would recommend Geek on Wheels.

Out of nowhere I got the infamous Blue Screen of Death which locked up our laptop. That day I took it to Geeks on Wheels. They were very professional and most helpful. They kept me informed throughout the process. I could not be more pleased with the results. Great bunch of knowledgable professionals.

It went wonderfully! Pete Christian was our tech and he was extremely knowledgeable, likable, patient and detailed oriented. He explained what he was doing and he taught us things we could do to keep our computers fresh and up to date. We were most pleased.

Woke up Monday morning with a CPU not working. Went first to their old location to find out they had moved. Called to find their new location and took unit in. I told them it was not running and the DVD was not working. Tuesday morning the technician called and told me the power unit had died and they had a used one on hand. I asked about the rw DVD and he said he would check it out. I had two on hand from another computer that I took to them. Wednesday morning they called to tell me the CPU was ready to be picked up. I went over to pick it up and was, frankly, shocked at how inexpensive the repairs were! They could not use the DVD units I took because the connections were different.
48 hours of inconvenience and a bill for about 1/3 what I was expecting and I'm back up and running. Does it get any better than that?

very professional, excellent service and fast, and reasonably priced.
this is my first time using these folks and i was satisfied completely. I found them on Angies List.
Right from the office personnel to the tech, to the general manager.
I had one question / concern about the video card they installed because i did not think it was the one that would meet my needs.
The GM of the store called me on a Sunday (impressive) and was very helpful. Turned out that the card they gave me was 100% perfect. I just failed to look closely (my bad). The GM was polite, and more patient with me then perhaps i deserved.
anyway, i give Geek on Wheels an A+ in all regards. I will call them again if i have any computer needs.

They cleaned it out and removed all of the infected files. I would say that the cost was a bit much for a cleaning but I suppose I was paying for convenience. My laptop has been running well since, so I suppose it was a job well done.

My husband who had taken care of all our computer needs passed away in April and I had a number of computer related problems and didn't know where to turn so I turned to Angie's List. There were all kinds of wires under both of the desk top computers (my husband was retired from IBM where he grew up with the computer industry and had so many things connected to the computers), the Internet had gotten disconnected from one computer (acccidently by me), and I had a number of things I needed done. The computer tech, Justin, was wonderful. He got the wiring simplified for me, everything all working, updates done, explained things to me (I'm a 73 year old senior citizen who depended on my husband on all things technical), Justin was very patient and thorough,. I would not hesitate in recommending he and Geek On Wheels.

Took computer to them and next day called to tell me problem and next day was ready and computer is running great. The gentleman that worked on my computer brought it out and explained all they had done and gave me his personal card to call him if there were any problems. I had used another person on your list and they wouldn't call me back or answer my emails so I found these people that weren't far and called them. They were very professional and helpful.

He called me back.... let me know what the problem was... and assured me that he'd get it taken care of. And he did exactly that. They had my laptop for a couple of weeks... which he told me in advance might be the case. (And that was fine with me, as this was my son's "gaming" machine.) He notified me when the laptop was fixed. He brought it over and gave me some advice as to some different anti-malware programs that I might consider using. The laptop has been working fine since.

Geek on Wheels did some diagnostics and then suggested I buy a new custom built machine for almost $800.00. I didn't get any real satisfaction out of it. I paid for the diagnostic and worked on it myself. They were like everything is broken and I couldn't get any specific answers out of them. They just told me their diagnostics showed there were many problems, but I couldn't get any further detail out of them. The parts that they said they needed were twice as much expensive as what Geeks on Wheels were going to put in.

I let my roommate borrow my computer for the weekend while i was out of town and he managed to get some viruses on there. I had a bad experience with best buy so i googled computer repair in my town. When i did that i found a coupon for a $99 virus removal when other companies around here were charging $150-$200 so i figured id give them a shot. i dropped my computer off on friday around 10am and picked up that day about 3pm. The guy who worked on it even put a new antivirus program on there because mine had expired and some free malware scanner thing thats supposed to keep me protected. My computer hasnt ran this good since i took it out of the box! I definitely recommend these guys!

When my office's main desktop went down, we called the Geeks at Geek on wheels. We called and had an appointment scheduled for later that day. A tech from geeks on wheels came out to check out our main office PC. It was no longer booting after several weeks of random shutdown and blue screens. After a quick look, the tech informed us that the power supply had gone bad and needed to be replaced. The geek took apart the desktop, installed a new power supply, and the machine booted right up. The computer was back up within 20 minutes of their arrival. Afterwords he looked at error logs and found that the PC was also infected with a spyware virus. The geek gave us recommendations on new antivirus software and backups. He spent about an hour running tools to clean the virus and speed up our PC. I was billed for 1 and a half hours of labor plus $49.99 for the power supply. An overall great experience with a local business.
