Mia Terry-Keller Williams Realty

Initially things went well. Mia took us around Denton, TX on two separate occasions to look for homes. She was punctual and very nice. I was thrilled and sure that I had found a realtor to handle my future transactions in this area. I tend to move every few years. When it came time to gather information about the property and make an offer, she was reluctant to give me all the information that I wanted. I requested, among other things, a history of the home's owners, etc. She said she couldn't get that information for me. I stated that my realtor in the Houston area could get me that information. I had the info within minutes after I said that. Once our offer was accepted, she texted me that her husband would be at the house the next day to perform an inspection (for which I would have to pay several hundred dollars). She argued when I said no. Unethical? I hired my own inspector and that deal fell through because I didn't feel the property was a good value. We went out looking for houses again a few weeks later and while we were looking, she became visibly upset when I was considering a home she didn't like (she said it wasn't a good neighborhood). I decided to buy another home and getting the offer negotiated was a nightmare. Mia didn't feel like I should have, or was reluctant to get me information I needed (like whether the utilities would be on during our inspection). I had to e-mail the seller myself. She did confirm the next day that they were on. We had a shouting match on the phone because she didn't want to send me the completed pages of the contract with all parties initials. I wanted confirmation that we had a deal before I drove 8 hours round-trip. She said I was being difficult and should "just trust her". At this point I desperately wanted to back out and find another realtor but had too much money invested in the process and commuting back and forth from Houston. Once the contract was negotiated I had to follow up on every detail to make sure the contract was complied with by the seller. When I would ask her if something was complied with she would tell me to contact the title company. To be fair, this may be the standard of service at Keller Williams.
