He was very knowledgeable and professional. He did things correctly and didn't cut any corners. He explained everything and showed me how the alarm worked.

After having foundation work done this summer, our plumbing test revealed a leaky/disintegrating sewer line under the house (we thought only half of the house initially.) Because the house had settled, over the years our sewer line developed a "negative flow", so water never fully emptied and would just sit in the pipe, essentially corroding it over the years (the house was built in '71.) The first plumber wanted to do all the holes and tunneling inside of the house to replace it with pvc. After having holes in our floor for foundation work, the idea of pulling sewer pipe out of the ground into my living room, kitchen, and laundry just didn't sit well. Knee Deep came out and recommended re-routing the sewer to reconnect in the front yard and thereby correcting the "fall" of the pipe (which the first plumber said couldn't be done) and adding 2 additional clean outs. We started off with 3 man-sized tunnels under our house (they contract with a tunneling company that I was also impressed with.) When we thought we were almost finished with the job, it was discovered that in fact the rest of our cast iron sewer was also failing. Each attempt to tie onto the old pipe resulted in it crumbling and splitting further. Knee Deep was so sensitive to the fact that we were all of a sudden looking at doubling the cost (for the addtional 55' of tunneling.) They did everything they could to minimize costs for us. We ended up with 2 additional tunnels, longer than the first 3 (so 5 total--if we'd gone with the other company we would have had that mess all down the hall and thru our master bedroom and master bath!) Libby was great to work with and was in constant communication with us every step of the way and was always available and quick to respond if we had any concerns. They went above and beyond to minimize any water getting under the house during the torrential rains, which of course happened in the middle of all the work. All their guys were great! Knee Deep was recommended to us by a friend who owns an HVAC company, which we completely trust. He did not steer us wrong. If after spending that much money we can still say we'd use them again, I think that says something!
