Ben Chartrand the owner was to replace all rotten wood and wood that had been chewed on by critters. He replaced some boards and painted over other rotten boards and failed to replace all of boards removed leaving an empty space. He power washed the boards, it rained, he painted and it rained again and now the paint is peeling because the boards were painted wet. He painted over peeling paint and that is peeling. He installed the wrong roof we contracted for GAF Timberline HD Charcoal and Ben installed Owens Corning Brownwood and with only approximately two packs of shingles on we told him they were the wrong shingles and he refused to stop and continued to work until dark. I sent him text messages asking him to stop and he refused. Ben told me more than once that it must be hard when you can't remember but he could remember that I verbally told him I wanted the roof he was installing. I have no problem with my memory. Ben insisted that we pay in advance before the work began. When my husband told Ben he would cancel the check Ben threatened to sue us for a day's labor, 25% restocking fee, 25% cancellation fee and put a lean on our home if we didn't pay. The restocking fee and cancellation fee was in our contract. We felt we were backed in a corner rains were forecast and our roof was exposed and he had already taken over $18,000.00 so we had to let him finish. When the roof was on the forecasted rains came. We have a contract for GAF Timberline HD Charcoal shingles Ben installed Owens Corning Brownwood Shingles. Ben told us he had gotten us a better shingle and we asked if they were the same as the one on our contract and he said yes. Since the paint was to be for the GAF Charcoal and not for Owens Corning Brownwood Ben gave us a contract saying he would repaint the house to match the roof at no charge to us. Ben paid a color specialist from Sherwin Williams to choose the correct color of paint to tone down the roof (the roof has a lot of orange in it).

Gentleman did the inspection the next day after I'd ordered it. No additional work was needed. Very punctual, professional and courteous.

It cost me a little bit more. It cost me $100.00 more than what I paid to Angie's List. I paid Angie's List $99.00 and I paid $100.00 over that cost. You hate when you pay something else, it always happens. It was okay, I mean, that's it.

The negotiation & work went well and quickly. Ben was able to deal with the issue safely and efficiently on an extremely steep roof.

Never received the service I paid for

When I called and explain what I wanted, the trip turned into a service call. The service tech sealed holes in the ridge and vents. My roof is old and the tech did a good job, but I think what he did falls under the category of minor repair. I think they should just advertise their special at $75.

Excellent. Also looked at the ceding where a cracked had ddeveloped. Noted a shift in a cross piece but didn't feel it would continue. Very nice to work with. Would use again.

Reviewed the issue and really need a new roof so leak not worth fixing.

I was away from my house on my job during the work that was done. My wife assisted with handing tools. The job was done correctly and completed quickly.

Ben went above and beyond to fit us into his schedule on the day of our call. He was professional and showed great knowledge. He sealed up a few potential problem areas and has warrantied his work. Overall, extremely pleased!

He was very responsive to our request worked with us very closely did all the things we wanted him to do very nice person to work with. He also gave us good ideas and show different ways of doing it.

Really simply on my part. I talked to Ben about what needed to be done and about a week after the first phone call, all the work was done and clean up was complete.

They did the work promptly and were neat. They cleaned up after themselves well, which is very important to me. They were a bit delayed with the billing, where I did have to request for the bill to be sent a few times. Other than that, the service was great!

It went well. The company did good work. There were only a few hiccups when it came to contacting the contractors due to their vacation time. But, when a mistake had been made(an entire section of sheathing hadn't been replaced), the contractors completely redid their work without complaint or excuse. I respect that quality I customer service. It was also a quick turnaround once the work began. All in all, I was quite pleased with the work provided and will call for any additional issues that arise.

Mr. Chartrand did exactly what he said he would do. The work of replacing the roof shingles was done in a prompt and professional manner. Dealing with insurances companies isn't always the easiest thing to do but Mr. Chartrand took care of that. During every step of the process, Mr. Chartrand was there to answer any questions that I had. As for the end product, the new roof looks and works great! The work area was left cleaner that when they had arrived.

We used this company about two years ago and I can't remember too much but it was a very good experience. I was surprised at how quickly they worked and the clean up was great, and my husband and I are very pleased with them. I would definitely recommend them, in fact I already have!
