masonry, chimney repair
 + 0 moreThey were professional. They did a good job. They were easy to work with and were nice. I found them cheaper than the other contractor that I did. They have three crew members and it took them about two hours. I actually gave them some construction documents for some exterior work on the same property here. We are in the third district and we had to get preapproval for anything that touches the exterior of the building. So, I provided them with the approval list from the city and then some elevations for them to at least give me a bid for the exterior work. I was happy enough for their service that I consider using them again.
Description of Work: Frontier Waterproofing did chimney repair for me yesterday. I had another contractor and brick mason come out and inspect the chimney. They were finishing what they were doing in the basement and they are routing return duct work near the chimney. It looked unstable. So, I had another company come out and they kind of poked around with a shovel and collapsed part around the base of the chimney. They would be able to come out sometime next week to fix it. The HVAC guys recommended Frontier Waterproofing that does a lot of brick work especially on restored buildings which this one is. They came out and said they could do the work on the same day. So, they replaced about two-foot by three foot section of the chimney that collapsed. They finished it all up yesterday.
