FRENCHY'S LAWN & TREE SVC

I had used Frenchy's twice before contacting them this time to have my lawn mowed and edged and to have my shrubs trimmed. The two previous times I had no problem with them showing up a day or two after contacting them and speaking to the gentleman that runs the office who is very pleasant, by the way. This last time was a complete fail. I called on Monday 9-29-2014 and asked to have the same service i'd had two times previously and I was told no problem that they would be there either Tuesday or Wednesday to do it. No one ever showed up and I called Thursday morning to ask if someone would be coming out that day since I had been expecting them for two days prior and I was told that they had already performed the service... News to me since I was staring at my shaggy lawn and not trimmed bushes. I was then put through to someone who said they would come after lunch and that they would call before coming.. No one ever called or came and there was a storm late afternoon Thursday which is why I assumed they never showed up. I tried to call several times Friday and no one answered the phone. I feel that for the amount of money they charge and I was willing to pay that they could have communicated with me so I could have found someone else in a more timely manner. 

• Frenchy's comes to our house every two weeks, and the time it takes and the cost vary week to week.  Frenchy charges by the man/hour and sends a bill once a month.   The men arrive and just go right to work; they're used to people not being at home. There are always two men, but sometimes there are as many as four, depending on the work that needs to be done. In  fall, they rake up leaves and cut back the lantana; in late winter or early spring, they cut back rose bushes and crepe  myrtle trees.  If they see something unusual that needs to be done, they ask first if we'd like them to do it.
• All of the employees are polite and professional, and Frenchy, himself, drives around, looking at the properties, to see if his men are doing their job, or if there is anything important to be done.

Due to his extremely high prices, I will never do business with this company.  There is too much competition in the area to pay these extremely high prices.

He didn't cut the trees up for firewood, like I requested - instead, he hauled the pieces off and charged me an additional $125. He refused to take responsibility for that. He also overcharges compared to other landscaping & lawn care companies. However, it is worth noting that the lawn did look beautiful after they finished.

They were pretty good, but the cost was just too excessive. They did everything that needed to be done.

I emailed on June 23rd.  After waiting for a week, I called and left a message on June 30th. No response. I called again on July

1. 3rd and left another message. No response so I called again and spoke to a young lady who said the person who I needed to talk  to was someone named Lance. I called back and spoke to lance who said I was on Frenchy's list and that he would get to me. I waited three days and called back. Again, Lance said I was on the list for Frenchy to come out and give me a work estimate, I waited untilJuly 12th and called and withdrew my request for a work estimate. Lousy way to conduct a business.

I was preparing to terminate my lawn care service provider, so I contacted Frenchy's, via their website, in order to get a bid to replace my  current service. Additionally, I wanted them to remove the millions of leaves that would soon be falling from my small forest of trees. This was back in late September. I never heard from them. They did not call me, they did not email me, they did not stop by to assess the work requirement. I have had no contact with them to this day. This is not the way a professionally run business should operate. I am disappointed to say the least.
